Step 1

Make a circle for the head, and then make another circle for the body. Next, draw guide lines for the body, face, and tail.

Step 2

Using the shapes you drew in step one, draw the shape or structure of your mermaid face as you see here. Next, line the hair and then draw an ear.

Step 3

Now draw the shape of her eyes, and then the pupils. Next, draw eyebrows, then lips to create a crease.

Step 4

Now here you will draw the hair out very easily because all you have to do is make a wide cone as shown. Sketch some hair detail lines and then move on to step five.

Step 5

Start drawing her shoulders, arms, chest, then her back belly and parts of her fins.

Step 6

Now you can continue to draw the tail, and then make a marker line for the separators for the fins and waist. Draw shells covering her breasts and move on to step seven.

Step 7

Finish drawing her tail, and then sketch some fin details. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one and move on to step eight.

Step 8
