Step 1
Draw the muzzle
First, draw an oval with two shaded dots to form the highland cow’s nose. Add an upward curved line to draw its mouth.
Step 2

First, create a hairy round shape of highland cow hair. Next, connect the hair to the nose by drawing two diagonal furry lines as shown.

Add ears and horns
Add thin V-shaped lines to form the highland cow’s horns. Draw pointed shapes below the horns to form the ears.

Sketch the elongated, hairy shape of the highland cow’s body. Draw the long furry tail attached to the body.

Attach the legs
First, sketch the fur shape of the highland cow’s upper leg. Next, draw the thin shape of the lower leg. Don’t forget to shape the hooves by drawing horizontal curved lines.

Complete the drawing of the highland cow
Let’s complete the drawing of the highland cow! First, use a pink pen to shade the muzzle, mouth, and inner ears. Next, use a cream colored pencil to color the horn. Now, color the hair on top of the head with a yellow pencil. Then, color your nails with a black pencil. Finally, shade the rest of the highland cow’s body with an orange pen.
