You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Sketch the basic shape
Start by gently sketching the basic shape of the wildflower. Use simple shapes like circles or ovals for flowers and stems.
Step 2:
Draw the stem and leaves
Extend the stem from the bottom of the flower. Add leaves along the stem, using a simple elongated oval or teardrop shape.
Step 3:
Add petals
Draw wildflower petals around the center (flower head). Wildflowers can have many different petal arrangements, so refer to your reference images for guidance.
Step 4:
Add details to the flower head
Add details like lines or spots to the top of the flower, depending on the type of wildflower you’re drawing. This step will add character and uniqueness to your wildflowers.
Step 6:
Refine shapes and details
Refine the shape of flowers, stems, leaves and other details. Pay attention to the proportions and adjust if necessary.
Step 7:
Delete rule
Erase any original guides you used for the basic shapes. This will clean up your drawing and make it look more polished. To add realism and depth to your drawing, consider adding texture to the petals and leaves. You can also add shading to create shadows and highlights.
Step 8:
Perfect your drawing
Take a step back and evaluate your drawing. Make any final adjustments or additions. Make sure your wildflowers look balanced and visually appealing.
