You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Start by drawing the first bamboo. Use a pair of curved lines to draw each segment of the tree. Notice how the lines converge in the center and diverge at the joints. Draw short curved lines on each joint.
Step 2
Draw another segment on top of the first bamboo using two curved lines. Draw a short curved line on top. Then draw the next bamboo stick. Again, use a pair of curves to draw each segment and draw curves through the joints.
Step 3
Draw two more segments on top of the second bamboo, using two curved lines for each. Draw short curves through joints between segments. Then start drawing a third bamboo. Use two curved lines to draw each segment and draw short curved lines between them.
Step 4
Expand the third factory by three more segments. For each segment, draw two curves, with short curves between the segments. Then draw the bamboo leaves. For each leaf, extend a pair of curves from the tree and let them meet at a point.
Step 5
Draw more bamboo leaves, erase when necessary. For each leaf, stretch a pair of curves and have them meet at a point.
Step 6
Draw more leaves on the bamboo. For each leaf, stretch a pair of curves and have them meet at a point.
Step 7
Draw another bamboo stick. Sketch the tree using a pair of parallel curves. Tape it with horizontal curves to create segments.
Step 8
Draw more leaves at the top of the bamboo. For each leaf, stretch a pair of curves and have them meet at a point. Note that some of the leaves originate from a central point, forming a star pattern.
Step 9
Draw a final bamboo stick in the background. Outline the faces of the tree using a pair of curved lines. Wrap the stick with curved lines, and draw pointed leaves at the top and along its sides.
Step 10
Color your cartoon bamboo tree. They are usually light green or tan in color.
