Step 1

For this house drawing tutorial, the ruler will be your best friend, as it will be used in every step of the tutorial.

This first step is no exception, and to begin with, you should draw a square without a vertex. Using a drawing tool like a 90 degree square will help ensure that it will be a perfect square.

Finally, draw two lines that form the top of the triangle as you can see in the picture.

Step 2

For step 2 of your house drawing, we will focus on the top of the roof. To start, draw two lines from the top corners of the house going out of the house.

Then draw two lines that run parallel to the sloping ceiling of the house so that they join the lines you drew.

Referencing the reference image will be very helpful for this step.

Step 3

Using your ruler, we will add the front door and chimney to your drawing of the house. The door can be pulled in by adding a thin, horizontal rectangle below where the door will enter.

Then draw a rectangle above the step you just drew for the door.

After the door is pulled in, simply use two rectangles to add to the chimney as shown in the picture.

Step 4

For the next step of the tutorial on how to draw a house, we will learn about adding an extra part to your house.

This room will be made from a fairly simple shape, but it will work well with the construction of your house plan.

This shape will appear on the left side of the house and will look like a square sloping towards the house. Finish this side section with a horizontal line at the bottom of the shape.

Step 5

The drawing of your house is now starting to take shape, so in this step we will add a large part of the house. Looks like we’re going to add a lot of stuff, but it’ll all be made up of simple lines with your ruler.

This section will be made from a rectangle extending from the house, and it will have a flat ceiling instead of a slope in the main house. Then two rectangles with two horizontal lines will complete this step.

Step 6

After the final step, the main part of your house drawing is complete and you can start focusing on some of the details.

First, using some horizontal and vertical lines, draw a brick pattern onto the chimney.

Draw some lines along the base of the floor and ceiling as you can see in the image that will be the next part, then you can finish this step with a small circle as a door handle.

It just needs a few final touches, and you can add in some rectangles to create some brick patterns on the house. Finally, you can add some bushes on the side of the house.
