You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start by drawing a long straight line. This will outline the shaft, or long wooden part of the arrow.

Step 2

Draw another line parallel to the first line. Leave only a small space between the two lines.

Step 3

At one end of the shaft, extend a short straight line from each existing line, pointing downward at a diagonal angle. This will form the bottom of the arrowhead.

Step 4

Draw a line from each of the lines in the previous step, meeting at a point to enclose a triangle. This completes the outline of the arrowhead.

Step 5

At the bottom of the arrow, extend a short straight line. From this line, extend another short line at an opposite angle. This begins the outline of the waist, the part of the arrow placed on the bowstring.

Step 6

Extend a short line from the other side. Then close the diamond knot with one final line.

Step 7

Add dimension to the arrow by drawing a straight line along the length of the arrowhead and the pin. Use a short line to enclose the ends of the shaft, separating it from the pin and arrowhead.

Step 8

Just above the button, place a parallelogram – an inclined, four-sided shape – along the axis of the arrow. Repeat to form a mirror image on the opposite side. This forms the arrow’s fletching, also known as the propeller or feather. Fletching gives the arrow stability, helping it to reach the target.

Step 9

Texture the contour by banding it with parallel lines.

Step 10

Color your arrow. The ancient arrows were made of wood, stone, and metal, and were therefore brown or gray in color. Modern arrows are made of plastic, metal, fiberglass and other materials. So they come in every color imaginable.
