Step 1
Start by drawing a rounded rectangle. This will form Lightning McQueen’s windshield – as well as his eyes. Draw a curved line parallel to the top of the windshield and another in the middle, indicating the eyelids.
Step 2
Extend a curved line from each side of the windshield to form the front end. Allows lines to meet at one point.
Step 3
Use a curved line to enclose a thumbnail on the top of the car and another to connect the bottom of the windshield to the rear of the car. This latter line encloses the side windows of the car.
Step 4
Place a rounded rectangle and triangle inside the teardrop shape of the side window area. These are individual windows.
Step 5
Draw curved lines from the bottom corners of the windshield, outlining the hood. Draw another one from behind the roof, outlining the fender.
Step 6
Enclose a rounded rectangle around the rear of the vehicle. Draw a curved line parallel to one of its sides. This is the spoiler or caudal fin.
Step 7
Car front detail. Use a curved line to enclose the front of the hexagonal hood. Draw small lines and circles along the edges of the hood. Enclose circular parallelograms right in front of the hood, forming the headlights – in the case of Lightning, just stickers. Draw lines on each headlight. Use curved lines to clearly outline the front wheel and the smiling mouth open.
Step 8
Use a long, curved line to enclose the bottom of the car, noting the large “C” shaped indentations that are the wheel cavities. In each wheel well, draw three consecutive small circles. Outer circle texture – tires – with curves. Draw more circles between the two shapes
Step 9
Draw Lightning’s eyes, each side being a shaded circle inside a slightly larger circle. Then detail his paint job. Draw a circle on the hood, write the word “Rusteze” on it and underline the word. Close a curved shape on the roof and write and underline “Rusteze” on the spoiler. Sketch the number “95” on the side and use a series of connected curves to form the flame.
Step 10
McQueen colored lightning. He usually paints red with yellow and orange accents. He is sometimes seen as yellow, white, green or Dinoco blue.
