Step 1
The first step of our beagle drawing tutorial will help you draw this dog’s adorable face!
First, draw some circles for the eye contour, then add some circles inside them for the pupils. There will also be some more jagged lines around the eye area to create some fur detail.
Next, draw some more curves for the nose, and then extend the muzzle out from there.
We’ll give the dog a large floppy tongue that hangs over his mouth using some circular lines, and then you’ll finish by drawing soft ears that hang down the sides of his head.
Step 2
Now draw the back and tail for this hound
Continuing with this beagle drawing, now we will draw the back and tail for this cute dog.
This is a pretty easy step to complete, and you can start by drawing a simple circle for the dog’s back. This should extend from the back edge of the right ear and then down.
Finally, draw the dog’s tail using some more curved lines that culminate in a spike at the end. Then it’s time for step 3.
Step 3
Draw the first pins for the beagle in this step
For this third step of our tutorial on how to draw a hound, we will be drawing the dog’s first legs.
The right front leg will be relatively short but will straighten out at an angle. The top of the chest will also be attached to it. Then use another curved line for the belly, and then you can draw the hind legs.
This figure will be curved to show that the dog is sitting down, so you can draw it using some curves and circles. With these pins drawn, we can move on to step 4 of the tutorial.
Step 4
Next, draw the collar and the rest of the hem
This step of your beagle drawing will see you add the collar and final contours to the body. Use some curves for the collar itself, and then you can add a small circle over it.
To add some cuteness, we’ll add a heart-shaped drawing to this shape. Finally, you can use some more curves to draw the left front leg which will be slightly bent at the bottom.
Then complete the chest outline, and this will get you ready for some final details in the next step of the tutorial!
Step 5
Add final details to your beagle drawing
Your painting already looks incredible, but we only have a few final details to add before coloring your work!
This step in our tutorial on how to draw a hound will help you add some texture to the dog’s fur that you will color later.
As we draw these sections, we’ll use some extra jagged lines to make each section look wider.
When drawing them, you should try to follow them closely as they appear in our reference images if you like our design. You can also create another template design if you want!
Once that’s all done, you can also add some extra details of your own!
These might include some fun toys for the beagle, background, or maybe even some extra dogs to go with the item. How would you complete this image?
Step 6
Complete your beagle drawing with color

Are you a cat person or a dog person? For some reason, there’s a never-ending battle between these two factions about which furry friend is better.

The challenge has cats and dogs compete in a series of mobility tests. Each species must navigate an obstacle course with various items blocking their way (such as odds and ends of the household) without knocking them over. Many pet owners have decided to join the Cat vs Dog challenge to get a laugh and see if their pets make any difference. Some dogs even managed to complete the test successfully and showed that while both species are different, one is not necessarily better than the other in this respect.
While all pets have different personalities, the challenge shows that both cats and dogs exhibit distinct tendencies towards their species. In the first video, we see a small black cat carefully walking past all the items laid out on the floor so that everything stays where it was. When the dog tries to do the same, he will do it cheerfully and quickly, knocking over anything that gets in his way. However, when you look at how happy the dog is, it’s hard to blame him.

Step 1
Do you know what a kid and a kitty cat have in common? Both have distinctive body proportions. The head of a baby is disproportionately large, like the head of a kitten. In addition to the head, we see two other circles that form the contours of the body, let’s draw this.
Step 2
So we continue the tutorial on how to draw a kitty cat. Adult cats have long graceful legs. This is not surprising, as cats are very agile and flexible guys. But kittens are not flexible and agile due to their small and round legs. So in this step we will draw the feet, which look like small round shapes.
Step 3
Every part of a kitten’s body makes them cuter. Kittens with ears are cool, aren’t they? In this step, we will draw a rounded vertical outline of the tail and a pair of ears that look like regular triangles.
Step 4
Now let’s add eyes to our kitty drawing. As you can see, the eyes are significantly shifted towards the lower edge of the head. The kitten’s eyes look like large, round shapes, located at a slightly inclined angle. Another feature of kittens is the presence of large round pupils.
Step 5
Now it’s time to draw the lower part of our kitten’s face. To do this, we will draw a shape resembling a small mushroom. We also added a few additional ovals in this area. These shapes represent the kitten’s nose and cheeks.
Step 6
So now we have a rough sketch of this cute kitten. Therefore, in this step, we will move on to creating smaller details. Let’s start by drawing the inside of the kitten’s ears. We won’t be able to draw all the hair that covers the kitten’s body, but with the help of small short strokes we will outline these small areas of hair.
Step 7
We keep adding small details. In this step we will draw short rounded toes. As you can see, the fingers seem to stick out slightly forward. To achieve this effect, draw small horizontal lines at the tip of each finger.
Step 8
So we are very close to finishing this tutorial on how to draw a kitty cat. In this step, we just need to delete all the extra construction lines that we used in the previous steps. Also, we will draw a pencil around the shape of the kitten, its eyes and other parts of the body. At this stage, you need to press harder on the pencil. Using short strokes, we create a soft fur effect on the kitten’s belly, ears and chest.
Step 9
If we were a little more active with our eyes, our kitten drawing would look a lot more realistic and alive. To achieve this effect, paint over the pupils using a dense shading and make sure to leave some room for the highlights, like in our sample. Also, add shadows to other parts of the kitten’s body.
Step 10

Step 1
To start this pig drawing tutorial, we will draw in some shapes to make it easier for you to draw the pig later on.
Using the reference image as a guide, we’ll draw three intersecting ovals.
For this step you should use a lighter pencil to draw these shapes, as we will erase them later.
This step will be much easier if you use a drawing compass to create the ovals. This first step will certainly be made easier if you follow the provided image closely.
Once you’ve drawn the oval, you can curve it through the top two ovals as shown in the image.
Step 2
Next, draw the pig’s head
Once you’ve drawn the pencil shapes, you can begin to outline your pig drawing.
Using the ovals you drew earlier as a guide, you can carefully draw in the head and ears. The ovals you’ve drawn will help keep the pig’s head in the correct shape.
I recommend not applying the pencil lines until after the next step, as we will be using the other oval you drew as a guide for the body.
Step 3
Now, draw in the body of the pig
For this step in our tutorial on how to draw a pig, we’ll use the other oval you drew as a guide.
You can scan through most of it with the pen, leaving a gap at the bottom where the pins will go through.
Once you are satisfied with the head and body of the pig drawing, you can erase the ovals you drew in step 1.
If you are using a brush on top of a pencil, make sure the ink is dry before you start erasing! If you start erasing too soon, you could smudge the ink if it gets a little wet.
Step 4
Next we will draw the legs and tail
In the next step of the tutorial on how to draw a pig, we will add some legs and a tail. This pig will have some cute, chubby legs, so when you add them they will be very short and stout.
Reference images will show you how you can make them.
Once the pins have been drawn in, you can add a bit of a corkscrew using some simple curves as shown in the image.
Step 5
Now we will draw your pig’s face
Now your pig drawing is almost done, and it needs a cute face!
The reference image we provided has a happy face for your piglet, so you can try to recreate it using some ovals, circles and curves.
For this step, you can also change some elements for a unique look. For example, you can change your pig’s facial expression by changing details like the eyes, eyebrows, and mouth.
There’s definitely a lot of room for you to get creative with it!
Step 6
Now finish it with some color
At this point, you have successfully drawn a cute pig picture! This is an achievement, but your pig drawing is not done yet.

Step 1
For the first step in the tutorial on how to draw a bird, the first thing you will need is a light pencil to draw a medium sized circle.
We are using a pencil for this step as it will be a guide for us to keep the shape and perspective nice.
If you have trouble drawing a perfect circle by hand, there are tools like drawing compass that can help you draw a perfect circle easily.
Once you have the guide circle, use a darker ink or pencil to draw a small, triangular beak on the left hand side. Then, using your guide circle, carefully draw on the top of the head as you can see in the reference image.
Step 2
Draw at the beginning of the body
In this next step, we will draw the head of the bird’s body. For the bird’s chest, you can use three slightly curved lines extending down from the bottom of the beak to form the chest.
You can see what this would look like for your own bird drawing by referencing this helpful reference image.
Once you have drawn the ribcage, you can draw the bird’s back with another curved line.
Step 3
Next, draw the tail of the bird
For step 3 we will draw a nice tail for your bird drawing! The tail will be made up of a combination of straight and curved lines that join together.
For this step, I strongly recommend looking at the image very closely to see how all the lines look and connect to each other.
Step 4
Now draw the legs and beak
Your bird drawing is really starting to come together at this point, so now you’re going to add some little legs and beak rests!
Let’s start with the beak first. To finish it off, simply draw a line down the middle of it, and then close it with a curved line.
Now, we will work on adding the legs. You can draw two lines close together to form one of the slim legs, and then repeat this for the other leg.
Finally, you can draw some curved toes and the back of the foot with some smaller lines.
Step 5
Next you will add the eyes and body details
In step 5 of the how to draw a bird tutorial, we will add in the eyes and some feather details. For the eyes, you can use a few small circles within the other as they appear in the image.
If that doesn’t work for you, you can also use a solid black dot or a circle with a small dot inside.
Now you can draw some feather detail using a combination of many wavy lines and smaller straight lines.
Here’s another step where I’ll take a very close look at the reference image for guidance on your first try.
As long as you follow the instructions and take it slow, I know you will perfectly manage your bird drawing stage!
Step 6
More wing and tail detail
You are almost done with your bird drawing at this point! For step number 6, we’ll add some fine lines to the wings and tail.
For this step, you don’t really need to track the exact reference image and can add these lines in a way that works for you. These lines are intended to give a smooth look to these parts of the bird.
Step 7
Now let’s draw the final details
You start this tutorial with one task: learn how to draw a bird. You are about to complete that mission with the next steps!
For this step you will be adding more lines to the chest and tail as you can see in the image. Finally, you can draw lots of small lines into the bird’s legs for a striking look.
Step 8
Finished with some color
With all drawings complete, you’re almost done! However, there is only one final step and that is adding some nice color!

Step 1
Start by sketching the hedgehog’s face. Use overlapping curves to create the face, snout, and lower jaw.
Step 2
Start outlining the hedgehog’s plumage. Above the head, use short, curved lines that meet at jagged points to indicate shaggy coat. Do the same under the head, indicating the fur on the chest and abdomen.
Step 3
Continue using short lines of different lengths to shape the feathers and spikes. Wrap the whole form of the animal in this way.
Step 4
View details of the hedgehog’s face. Draw two large, watery eyes, using a circle within a circle for each eye. Draw an oval and a smaller circle in the inner circle and shade around these to form the pupil. For the nose, draw an oval at the tip of the muzzle. Draw a small circle to represent the shading, and fill the nose with color.
Step 5
Draw a series of short, curved lines that join together in jagged points above the animal’s face and along the animal’s flanks. This separates the sharp spikes above from the soft undercoat.
Step 6
Draw “V” shaped lines, some connected and a few, on the animal’s back to indicate stiff spines.
Step 7
Draw the feet using curved lines. Notice the overlapping lines to distinguish the toes.
Step 8
Draw the ears, erasing the guide lines as needed. For each ear, draw a small “C” shaped line within a larger “C” shaped line.
Step 9
Use some “U” shaped lines to form the rear foot, which protrudes from below the guard spikes. Draw curved lines on each side of the nose to indicate the beard.
Step 11
Color your hedgehog. Most hedgehogs are brown, tan, and gray in color. Some also have albinism, which lacks pigment in their feathers and is therefore white. If you want, you can get creative – color your hedgehog blue like Sonic, or black and red like Shadow.

Step 1
Start by drawing a circle. This will form the parrot’s head
Step 2
Next, outline the parrot’s body. First, extend a curved line down from the top. Round the line – imagine it forming a complete circle if it continues. This forms the parrot’s belly. Then, from the opposite side of the circle, extend a long, curved line. This outlines the parrot’s back and tail. Finally, connect the lines using a third curved line, enclosing the parrot’s tail
Step 3
Erase the guide lines separating the parrot’s head and body.
Step 4
Using a curved line, enclose a circle in front of the parrot’s head. This will complete the shape of the head. Then, use two curved lines to form a large upside down teardrop shape along the back of the bird’s body. This outlines the wings.
Step 5
At the front of the head, use three short, curved lines to enclose a curved triangle overlapping the face. This is the parrot’s beak. Clamp the half circle below the beak, using a short, curved line. This forms the lower jaw of the beak.
Step 6
Draw several rows of wavy lines across the bird’s wings, using the connected “U” shaped lines to form each layer. Do the same at the tail end. At the tips of the wings and tail, draw vertical curved lines, indicating flight feathers (learn how to draw a feather).
Step 7
Remove the guide lines from the bird face.
Step 8
Draw a set of bumpy, wavy, parallel lines across the front of the bird, passing near the base of the tail. This forms the branch the bird is sitting on. Then draw a few small protrusions from the branches. Remove guide lines if necessary.
Step 9
Add details to your parrot. Attach a few small triangles on the top of the head to represent a bunch of feathers. Draw an oval within an oval to form the eye. Draw a small circle within the smaller oval and shade around it. Draw a thick, curved line at the corner of the eye to represent the eyelashes, and a curved line above to form the eyebrows. Use a set of curved lines, joined at each end at gentle points, to form the foot. Remove guide lines if necessary. Add feather detail to the bird’s chest using “V” shaped areas of short, curved lines
Step 10
Color your parrot. The bird in our example is green, but the parrot comes in many other colors too – red, blue, yellow, gray, or a combination of colors.
