You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start by sketching the swordfish. Use two curved lines to draw a teardrop shape, pointed at one end but with holes in the other. This outlines the body and tail. From the prologue, extend a pair of lines that meet at a sharp point. This is the upper jaw or the sword.

Step 2

Draw pectoral fins. Extend two pairs of curves and allow each pair to meet at a point.

Step 3

Draw the dorsal fin. Stretch two curved lines, one from the head and one from the middle of the back. Allow them to meet at one point.

Step 4

Draw the tail or caudal fin. Draw a “C” shaped line at the tip of the tail. Draw another ā€œCā€ shaped line just above it, further towards the tail. Allow lines to meet at points at the beginning.

Step 5

Draw eyes. First, draw a curved line near the front of the face. Above it, draw the eye with an inverted “U” shaped line. Cover a quarter of the circle in the corner to form the pupil. Draw a curved line above the eyes to indicate the eyebrows.

Step 6

Draw the open mouth of the fish. Draw a curved line on the base of the sword and a “U” shaped line below it. Draw a curved line from the “U” arc to the corner of the mouth. In the corner of the mouth, use three lines to draw a partially curved rectangle.

Step 7

Remove overlapping lines from the mouth. Then draw the gills using two curved lines. Draw a curved line from below the dorsal fin to the tip of the tail to indicate the fish’s belly.

Step 8

Draw the anal fin. Extend a pair of curved lines from each side of the belly at the base of the tail. Allow each pair to meet at a sharp point.

Step 9

Line the dorsal fin with curved lines.

Step 10

Color your cartoon swordfish. These fish are usually gray or bluish above and white or cream below. They may also have blue patches on their fins and sides.
