You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Start by drawing two long, parallel curves. Make sure the lines are a little closer together at the top than at the bottom. These lines form the trunk of the palm tree.
Step 2
Just above the trunk, draw five curved lines going in different directions. The lines will meet above the trunk, forming a shape that resembles a drooping pentagram. These lines are the beginnings of palm tree leaves, or leaves.
Step 3
Start sketching some leaves. For the first leaf, draw a curved line from the center of the star shape to the tip of a curved line. Then do the same on the opposite side of the same curve. You should have a pointed circle at each end. Repeat this process to enclose another leaf.
Step 4
Continue sketching the leaves by drawing curved lines from the base to the tips of the original lines.
Step 5
In this step, you will draw a leaf from a different angle. On your remaining curve, enclose a shape by drawing a roughly straight line from the base to the top. Then draw a few more leaves in a slant, using a curved and an almost straight line for each. Remove guide lines as necessary.
Step 6
Add details to the leaves. Using short lines, attach a few small triangles along the edges of each leaf.
Step 7
Draw three small circles at the intersection of the leaves, called the canopy. These circles form the coconut, the fruit of the palm tree.
Step 8
Erase the guide lines from the coconut and leaves. The leaves will now have a jagged shape.
Step 9
Draw curved, horizontal lines along the trunk.
step 10
Color your palm tree. You paint the leaves green and the stems dark brown.
