    Easy drawing bee

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

We’ll start drawing our bee by creating rough sketches for the base shape. For your rough sketches, use a medium that is easy to erase or hide, like a pencil.

Sketch the body of the bee
Start with the body shape of the bee by sketching three rough ovals. Three ovals are stacked, with the first top oval being the smallest oval for the head. The oval in the middle will be the chest of the bee and slightly larger. The final oval will be slightly rounder and be the largest shape for the belly.
Outline the base of the pins and antenna
Next, using simple lines, outline the position of the legs and antenna on the bee. For the top shape, sketch a slightly curved line on the sides for the antenna. For the bee’s legs, we’re sketching the front and hind legs.

Next, on the abdomen close to the chest, draw a short angled line, then a longer angled line along the abdomen. At the end of the hind leg, make a short incision at the end.

The base sketch of the wings
For the final base sketch, we are sketching the wings. On both sides of the chest below the front legs, draw a narrow wing closer to the chest and wider at the end.

    Step 2

Identify the body and wings of the bee
For the body of the bee, we need to combine the stacked ovals to form a single shape. Look at our example below, starting at the top of the bee, following the top curve of the oval. However, instead of closing it at the bottom, bring the curve down to the chest oval.

At the thoracic oval, follow the lateral curves and make the segment stop in the middle of the gap between the thorax and abdomen. Connect the belly and chest following the curve of the base figure at the bottom.
Next, for the bee’s wing, sketch a line at the center point at the tip of the wing. The line indicates where we will outline an indent in the wing and slightly curve it in the bottom half.

Fill in the Bee Foot and Antenna
Next, we need to fill in the legs and antenna of the bee to give them shape. Starting with the antenna, follow the curve of the outline. Make the legs of the antenna narrow at the top and slightly wider and rounded at the end, as we did in the example below.

For the front and rear legs, the general shape is the same. Using the baselines as your guide, sketch a line on either side. At the end of the pins, round out your sketch for the bee’s leg.
Add detailed sketches to the bee’s body
For the final sketches of how to draw a tutorial bee, we will add details to the body. We are adding eyes on the sides of the head and stripes on the body.

Starting at the top, outline a bump on both sides for the eyes. On the inside of the head, about a third from the bottom, draw a curved line like we did in the example below.

Next, following the curves of the midsection of the chest, completely close it. On the belly, near the chest, draw another curved line. You can make the curve wavy like we did if you want, and right at the bottom let’s sketch the final curve.

    Step 3

    Sketch your bee sketch
We have completed our rough sketches for the bee, and now we can move on to sketching and adding details like hair. You can switch to a dark color or a defined medium like a pen to draw the outline of your bee.
Sketch the main body of your bee
For the sketch, we will outline the main body shape of the bee. Pay attention to which lines you want to outline, as there are some overlapping outlines that you don’t want included.
Add hair texture to your bees
Next, we will add a hair texture to the body of the bee. For an example of how we painted the hair texture, check out our image below. All we did was draw short overlapping lines, making it look like a bunch of hair.

    Step 4

Final texture detail on your bee
Continue adding structure to the bee’s front and hind legs. Next, for the wings, you can create any details with textures on them. We created a tangled combination using the same brush we used for contour and texture.
Bee-drawn beautiful! You are done! Why not create a hive with different colors and all kinds of bees? We hope you had a good time watching and drawing a bee with us.

How To Draw A Bee Step By Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

In this bee drawing tutorial, we will start with the head of your bee. To get started, you should start with a circle.

Sometimes when a circle is needed to draw, I recommend using a drawing compass to get a perfect circle, but in this case the circle doesn’t have to be perfect.

This is one of those circles that you should freelance to give it a personal touch.

    Step 2

    Add the first bee wings
Now that we have the head of your bee drawing, we’ll start with your bee’s wings. In this step we will add two of the wings.

These wings will have a long and rounded shape, with the other coming from the other wing closer to our view. Once you’ve drawn these wings, you can move on to the next step.

    Step 3

Draw another wing and the beginning of the body
For this step of our how to draw a bee tutorial, the first thing you should do is draw one more wing behind the others.Once you have drawn the final wing, you can use a circle to create the body of the bee.

    Step 4

    Add a face and nib
Your bee has wings and a body, so now it needs a face and some other details! To start, draw some eyes for your bee drawing.

The eyes are made up of two long ovals with many ovals inside them to form several large eyes.

Once you have the eyes, you can use curved lines to create a smiling mouth and then add two beards on the head.

For the last step of this step, you can add two lines in the back to form the stinger for your bee.

    Step 5

Give your bee some stripes and legs
This bee drawing of yours is starting to look really great! For the next steps, we will add some final details.

For this step we will first add some stripes to your bee. Every bee needs some stripes, that’s why we need them for your drawing! These thin lines will extend along the width of the bee’s body.

Next you can use some long and round shapes to your bee belly to make some legs. Once you’ve added these pins and stripes, you can move on to the final details!

    Step 6

Complete the final details about your bee
Now you are almost done with your bee drawing! Before you can move on to the coloring stage, we’ll just add some final details.

First, you can add some thin lines to the wings of your bee. These will form ridges on your bee’s wings. The last few details are the ones you can get a little creative with!

We’ve shown a few details that you can add, such as the little hairs poking out from the bee and lines to show movement around the wings, but it’s a good idea to add details that aren’t you think will look good!

This is your chance to show off your creativity and flair by adding some interesting details to your bee drawing. How will you finish your great drawing?

    Step 7

Complete your bee painting with some colors
Now that your bee has been drawn and you’ve added the final details, the final step is to have fun with color!
