    Step 1

    For the first step of the tutorial on how to draw a snail, we will start small! We’ll start by drawing two small stalks on top of the snail’s head.
    These are called upper tentacles and have snail eyes at the end. You can draw these tentacles using some curved lines with small round knobs at the end of them.

    They will then be connected by another very small curve between the tentacles.

    Finally, you can add a little dot on the knob on each tentacle.

    Step 2

    Next, draw the head of the snail
    We will continue to add the top of your snail drawing in this next step.
    All you need to do for this step is draw some downward curves from the tentacles that you drew in the first step.

    You can then add two thick dotted lines at the ends for the lower tentacles of the snail’s face.

    Step 3

    Now draw your snail’s legs
    The flat base of the snail is called the leg, and that’s what we’ll be drawing in this part of the how to draw a snail tutorial.
    To do this, simply extend the line from the front of the face into a small protrusion at the front of the foot.

    Then, extend back in a wavy line until you have the base of the snail. It will then fold on its own to form the instep.

    Step 4

    Next, draw the outline of the shell
    Without a shell, a snail would be a slug, so we’ll start adding one to your snail drawing in this next section.
    The snail shell will be drawn with a large and round line on the back of the snail. It will also have a slight bump on the left side of the bottom of the case.

    The reference image will guide you on how it will be shaped as you draw.

    Step 5

    Now draw a curved line inside the shell

    Step 1

    Start with a circle for your animated snail head and then add facial contours. You will then draw a long line for the neck of the jar and attach it to another circle that will later be your shell.

    Step 2

    You wouldn’t draw the actual shape of a snail’s antenna in a cartoon and make sure they have little ball-shaped tips. Next, use facial strokes to draw the eyes and nose. Draw and color in the pupil, then add the eyebrows,

    Step 3

    You can start sketching the shape of the snail’s face in the cartoon and then draw the mouth. Draw the shape of the snail’s neck and the legs of the snail’s body as the part that moves on the surface.

    Step 4

    Draw the shape of the cartoon snail shell, then draw the rest of its legs behind its body and/or shell. Add a border around the outline of the shell and then move on to the final drawing step.

    Step 5

    All you have to do here is draw a swirl inside the body of the case and then start erasing all the guides and shapes that you drew in step one.
