Step 1
Draw a circle. This forms the body shape of the fish.
Step 2
Erase one edge of the circle and replace it with a curved line, creating a bulge. This is the fish face.
Step 3
Use a curved line to enclose a circle on top of the circle. This forms the fish’s upper fin, known as the dorsal fin.
Step 4
Extend a curved line from the bottom of the fish and fold it in half to form a teardrop shape. Then repeat this process with the second line. The second image should be partially hidden by the first. This is the ventral fin of a goldfish.
Step 5
Erase the edge of the circle facing the fish face. From the dashed line, extend a long curved line. Draw another curved line, mirroring the first and meeting at a point. This part forms the top part of the fish’s tail, also known as the caudal fin.
Step 6
Extend one curve from the tail and another from the broken circle. Allow them to diverge before meeting at one point. This completes the fishtail.
Step 7
Erase part of the fish’s face to make room for the lips. Draw a horizontal heart to fill the hole. In it, use curved lines to enclose the teardrop shape. Then use a long, curved line to outline the face and distinguish it from the body. Draw a curved line to indicate the cheek. Then, draw three small circles in a row to form the eye. The shade between the two is the smallest to indicate the pupil. Draw the eyebrows with a short curved line.
Step 8
Use a curved line to enclose the irregular shape of the pectoral fins. Then, texture the fish’s body with overlapping “C” shaped lines. This indicates the texture of the scales.
Step 9
Continue drawing details of the fish. Draw a curved line at the base of the tail to separate it from the body. Then draw curved lines on the tail, dorsal, pectoral, and ventral fins.
Step 10
Color your goldfish. Many monitors display different tones of orange, yellow, or red. Some are solid white or solid black. Others have points.

Step 1
Start by drawing two diagonal lines that are almost parallel to each other. These lines form the top of the gold bar.
Step 2
Connect the lines at each end with short lines. Then, extend the diagonals from the front of this shape, joining them to form a trapezoid. This is the front of your first gold bar.
Step 3
Draw a long straight line from the corner of the trapezoid, parallel to the original lines. Use a shorter line to connect it to the upper corner of the bar. You now have a complete three-dimensional gold bar.
Step 4
Next, use four straight lines to enclose a rectangle around the base of the gold bar. This will form the top of the bars below it.
Step 5
Use three straight lines to enclose a trapezoid along the front of the rectangle, forming the front of the gold bars.
Step 6
Draw a line from the corner of the trapezoid, parallel to the side of the rectangle. Connect it to the corner with a short line.
Step 7
Draw an inverted triangle below the first gold bar. This will form the space between the gold bars below.
Step 8
Erase the guide lines in the triangle.
Step 9
Draw a line through the bottom of the lower bars, through the front and side. Then draw lines just below the front and side edges of the top bar. Connect these lines to the corners of the bar using short lines.
Step 10
Color your gold bars. Notice that in our example, we used two different shades of yellow to create the depth, size, and shadow of the photo.

Step 1
Start by drawing the top of the fish, including the head, eyes, and mouth. Draw a slightly curved vertical line, with a small bump in the middle (line A, for example). Draw a quarter circle starting at the top end of line A, moving towards the left. Draw a curved triangle starting at the bottom of the circle.
Step 2
The end of the triangle should point inward and one side should be slightly smaller than the other. This part completes the mouth. Connect the bottom end of line A to the open end of the mouth.
Now draw the rest of the body and tail as shown in the Figure Notice that the edges of the fish are rounded, and the body is not very long. The tail is as wide as the head and curved.
Step 3
Draw the fins on the sides of the fish. The top will have a slightly larger fin, shaped like a curved triangle. Draw two small teardrop-shaped fins. Only a quarter of the sharp sides of the fins enter the body. Also, make sure that one fin is smaller than the other.
Step 4
Draw a circle on top and make a smaller circle inside it for the eyes. A small ring inside the inner circle completes the eye. Draw a half circle with the lower lip as the base for the tongue. Do this so that the fish looks like they are smiling. An upside-down tear, slightly above the eye, will be for another fin.
Step 5
Now let’s get to some details. Draw horizontal, horizontal bumpy lines of the fish. Finish the details by drawing thin lines as shown in
Once the simple fish drawing is done, color it!
Step 6
Scales are perhaps the most distinctive attribute of fish. So it’s imperative that you do it right on paper. Here’s how you can practice drawing fish scales in a box, before you try them on fish (on paper, of course!).
