You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Fold the paper in half either way, or lightly draw a diagonal dividing line in the middle.

    Step 2

Draw the body and head of the butterfly in the center of the vertical line.

    Step 3

Draw two curved lines starting just below the head and going all the way to the upper left and right corners. Then draw an inverted curve starting from the bottom of the body. Do your best to make your lines as symmetrical as possible on both sides of the midline.

    Step 4

Connect the wings by drawing an inward wavy wavy line. This step may take a few practice sketches with your pencil before you get it right. Remember to make these lines as symmetrical as possible.

    Step 5

Draw a beard on the head. Then draw two large symmetrical rings on the inside of the top star wing.

    Step 5

Draw two more horizontal loops in the center of the wing. Make sure the base of the rings match.

    Step 7

And then draw loops in the bottom part of the wings.

    Step 8

Then add two more rings for a total of 4 rings of symmetry on each side of the wing.

    Step 9

Next, draw three diagonal lines connecting the edge of the top rings to the wing.

    Step 10

Continue to draw more diagonal lines from the edge of the ring to the edge of the wing. Make two diagonal lines on each loop as shown below.

    Step 11

Finally, draw a contour along the outer edge of the wing.

How to draw A Butterfly easy

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

    To draw a 3d butterfly
First start by drawing the head of the butterfly. First, draw an oval to form the large compound eye. Wrap another, larger oval partially covered by the first to form the head.

Use a curved line to enclose another oval section on the opposite side of the head, indicating the other eye. Then, stretch a series of short curved lines that meet at the jagged points to start outlining the chest or midsection of the butterfly.

    Step 2

Continue to outline the oval ribcage using a series of curved lines that meet at jagged points. From the back of the chest, extend a long, curved line and fold it back on itself to form the belly.

    Step 3

Next, draw the butterfly’s antennae. Extend two long curved lines from the top and draw a small oval at the end of each.

Draw the first butterfly leg using two narrowly spaced “L” shaped lines. Finally, tape the belly with curved lines.

    Step 4

Draw more pins, delete as needed. Again, use two “L” shaped lines for each leg. Connect the lines with curves where they meet. From the top of each leg, extend a curved line and double it back onto itself to form the foot.

    Step 5

Continue drawing the legs of the butterfly. Use “L” shaped lines for each leg, with curved lines at the top and to form the foot.

    Step 6

Draw the last leg in the same way as before. Butterflies have a total of six legs. Then start sketching the delicate wing. Extend a long, curved line from the back of the head. Double it back to itself at the top and extend it outward to trace the wavy edge of the wing.

    Step 7

Draw the remaining front wing. Extend a long, curved line from the back of the chest. Double it back to itself, note the wavy edge. Then use another curved line to enclose the rear wing.

    Step 8

Add details to the wings. Use connected “U” shaped lines.

    Step 9

Add even more detail to the wings. Draw a large teardrop shape near the edges. and finally create a shadow of the butterfly on the paper.

    step 10

Color your butterfly. Create your own unique pattern or look for real butterflies and their color combinations.

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Draw the chest and belly of the butterfly’s head. This trick will center the butterfly to the center of your paper. The body is made up of the head (circle), the middle thorax (the oval shape), and the belly (the elongated oval shape), 2 eyes (semicircles on either side of the head), and 2 antennae.

Fun fact: some butterflies are straight and some are curved, depending on the butterfly species.

    Step 2

Draw 2 curved lines from the top of a body part (on the sides). Try to make these lines of equal length and curvature.

    Step 3

Draw 2 lines from the center of the body (on either side). Make the line segments equal in length.

    Step 4

Draw 2 curved lines from the bottom part of the body (on the sides). Create lines of the same length and arc.

    Step 5

Draw a squiggly line to connect the wing tip to the midline (horizontal). Do this for both sides of the wings

    Step 6

Draw 2 diagonal lines from the end of the midline. Make sure they are the same length.

    Step 7

Draw 2 semicircles connecting the diagonals from the last step and the bottom arches. Your butterfly’s overall shape is now complete. Take a step back and make sure both sides look roughly equal. Take this opportunity to repair any areas that are sticking out.

TIP: It also helps to flip your photo upside down and see. The side flip gives your eyes a fresh perspective and you can easily see if your butterfly is proportionate or not.

    Step 8

Draw 4 teardrop shapes inside each wing.

Fun fact: The markings and colors on butterfly wings are different for each species. Colors and patterns help the butterfly camouflage, protect, attract mates, and more. If you want some inspiration for your butterfly art, check out this website that features images of over 50 species.

    Step 9

Draw 7 lines in each wing quadrant (from teardrop to outer edge).

    Step 10

Draw a bubble-like border around the outer edge of the wings

    Step 11

Use a pencil to fill in the border between the bubble outline and the outer wing.

    Step 12

Add some semicircles and “D” shapes for the top 3 parts of the wings. We will fill around them in the next step

    Step 13

Fill in around the patterns you drew in the previous step (using a pencil). Also draw small circles along the top edges of the wings

    Step 14

Thicken all lines between sections on both wings

    Step 15

Fill in the text and you’re done!
