    Drawing Academy

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by drawing an irregular triangle to the sides to form the upper beak. Draw a similar shape just below the upper mine to create the lower beak.
Remember, the upper tip should be larger and more pointed than the lower beak, as shown in the illustration above.
Remember that the mine should be placed on the top left of your paper. To ensure this, create reference lines by drawing an intersecting horizontal and vertical line on your paper.
This tutorial will divide your paper into four rectangular blanks. The space in the upper left corner is where you should draw the beak.

    Step 2

Draw a curved shape around the beak that we drew in the previous step. This outlines the head of the pigeon. When drawn correctly, the figure should look quite similar to a hook.
Since the pigeon faces to one side, the beak should be on the left edge of the pigeon’s head.

    Step 3

Extend the lines of the head shape by drawing an uneven oval that connects directly to the head. This creates an outline of the pigeon’s body.
Remember, use light strokes when sketching. Avoid pressing down too hard with the pencil so you can easily erase any parts of the contour later that you don’t need.

    Step 4

Draw a wide, U-shaped curve at the front of the bottom part of the pigeon’s body. Note that the U-shaped curve must have diagonal sides and a flat bottom. This forms the right leg of the pigeon.
Don’t forget to remove the border that overlaps the inside of the leg. This helps to keep the structure of the pigeon more delicate and most importantly keeps your drawing neat and orderly.

    Step 5

Repeat the previous step on the opposite side of the pigeon’s lower body.
This forms the pigeon’s left leg, which is located at the back because the pigeon is facing to the side.

    Step 6

Draw three oblongs connected with curved ends to create feathers.
These feathers must be joined together to form a rectangle on the pigeon’s lower back.

    Step 7

Draw an oval with a slightly pointed bottom on the side of the pigeon’s body. Then draw diagonal lines at the bottom of the wings to create the illusion of feathers.
This also adds texture on the wing, making it look soft and realistic.
Don’t forget to erase any lines on the pigeon’s body that overlap the inside of its wings!

    Step 8

Below the pigeon’s right foot, draw a paw with four claws.
This forms the pigeon’s right foot, as shown in the illustration above.

    Step 9

Repeat the previous step underneath the opposite leg to create the left clawed foot. At this point, both legs of the pigeon are complete.
Then draw a circle at the top of the pigeon’s head, next to the beak. This outlines the dove’s eyes.

Then draw a smaller circle inside the eye to create the pupil. Finally, add shade to the entire eye while leaving the pupil unobscured.

After completing this step, your pigeon drawing should now be complete. All that’s missing is a range of colors to make your pigeon colorful

    Step 10

For this tutorial on how to draw a Japanese flower, we will start with the first flower that will be attached to the branch on which the subsequent flowers will also be attached.
To draw this flower, we will draw five petals, and each petal will have a rounded square.

At the center of the flower there will be a small circle that will have lines extending from it. Each of these lines will have a smaller circle at the end.

Now that you’ve drawn this part of the flower, we’ll then draw some thin, angular shapes for the branch it’s attached to.
Then draw some curved leaves at the base

    Step 11

Continuing with this Japanese flower drawing, next we will add some more flowers to the branch.
The first of these flowers will be on the left, and this flower will be drawn to closely resemble the first flower you drew.

Once we’ve finished painting, we’ll add another flower, but this one will look a little different. While the previous flower was opened, this one will be closed and facing to the right.

How to paint a cute bird step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

For the first step in the tutorial on how to draw a bird, the first thing you will need is a light pencil to draw a medium sized circle.

We are using a pencil for this step as it will be a guide for us to keep the shape and perspective nice.

If you have a hard time drawing a perfect circle freely, there are tools like a drawing compass that can help you draw a perfect circle really easily.

Once you have your guide circle, use a darker ink or pencil to draw a small, triangular beak on the left hand side. Then, using your guide circle, carefully draw on the top of the head as you can see in the reference image.

    Step 2

Draw at the beginning of the body
In this next step we will draw the head of the bird’s body. For the bird’s chest, you can use three slightly curved lines extending down from the bottom of the beak to form the chest.

You can see what this would look like for your own bird drawing by referencing this helpful reference image.

Once you’ve drawn the ribcage, you can draw the bird’s back with another curved line.

    Step 3

Next, draw the tail of the bird
For step 3 we will draw a nice tail for your bird drawing! The tail will be made up of a combination of straight and curved lines that join together.

For this step, I highly recommend looking closely at the image to see what all the lines look like and connect to each other.

    Step 4

Now draw the legs and beak
Your bird drawing is really starting to come together at this point, so now you’re going to add some little legs and the rest of the beak!

Let’s start with the beak first. To finish it off, just draw a line down the middle of it, and then close it with a curved line.

Now, we will work on adding the legs. You can draw two lines close together to form one of the slim legs, and then repeat this for the other leg.

Finally, you can draw some curved toes and the back of the foot with some smaller lines.

    Step 5

Next you will add the eyes and body details
In step 5 of the how to draw a bird tutorial, we will add in the eyes and some feather details. For the eyes, you can use a few small circles within the other as they appear in the image.

If that doesn’t work for you, you can also use a solid black dot or a circle with a small dot inside.

Now you can draw some feather detail using a combination of many wavy lines and smaller straight lines.

Here’s another step where I’ll take a very close look at the reference image for guidance on your first try.

As long as you follow the instructions and take it slow, I know you will perfectly manage your bird drawing stage!

    Step 6

    More wing and tail detail
You are almost done with your bird drawing at this point! For step number 6, we will add some fine lines to the wings and tail.

For this step, you don’t really need to track the exact reference image and can add these lines in a way that works for you. These lines are intended to give a smooth look to these parts of the bird.

    Step 7

Now let’s draw the final details
You start this tutorial with one task: learn how to draw a bird. You are about to complete that mission with the next steps!

For this step you will be adding more lines to the chest and tail as you can see in the image. Finally, you can draw lots of small lines into the bird’s legs for a striking look.

    Step 8

    Finished with some color
With all drawings done, you’re almost done! However, there is only one final step and that is adding some nice color!

How To Draw A Baby Bird Cute with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Easy animals to draw for beginners and kids.

How To Draw A Baby Bird Cute And Easy

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by drawing a circle. This will form the head of the bird.

    Step 2

Use curved lines to outline the body of the bird. Notice the long “U” shaped lines forming the tail, and the overlapping curves creating the feathery texture on the belly.

    Step 3

Draw the wings of the bird. Draw the shoulder of the wing using a “U” shaped line. Then, use long, curved “U” lines to form the feathers at the tips of the wings, enclosing the shape of the wing.

    Step 4

Erase part of the circle that forms the head, letting it flow naturally into the body.

    Step 5

Draw a tuft of fur on the top of the head, erasing the guides if necessary. Extend short, curved lines from inside the circle and allow them to meet at sharp points.

    Step 6

Draw two large ovals to form the eyes. Draw a curved line above each eye to indicate the eyebrows.

    Step 7

Erase the bottom part of each oval and surround the shape with a curved line. This shows round cheeks. Draw another, smaller oval, inside each eye. Then, outline the curved, irregular triangles that form the top and bottom of the beak. Draw a curved line through the bottom of the beak, detailing the inside of the mouth. Then draw another curved line to form the tongue.

    Step 8

Bird eye detail. Draw two small ovals inside each eye and shade one to represent the pupil. Draw curved lines on either side of each eye to form the eyelashes.

    Step 9

Drawing bird’s feet. Use curved lines to enclose a shape like the letter “X” or “K”, connected to the body by a “branch” of the letter. Then add the texture of feathers to the head and body using curves and blooms.

    Step 10

Color your bird. Young birds are often depicted as yellow, as shown in our illustration. They can also be white, black, brown, gray, or reddish, with patterns such as stripes or speckles. When they grow up, the chicks will take on the colors of their parents.

How To Draw A Pigeon Step By Step Easy

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

To start this dove drawing tutorial, we’ll start with the bird’s head and neck. First, let’s start with the head.

We will draw it with some curves and circles to contour it. You can then use some more straight lines for the pigeon’s beak.

The beak will also have a small round shape at the tip.

Once you’ve drawn the head, you can lengthen some more downward curves for the shape of the neck and back, then add a stripe to the neck.

Once you’ve copied the lines in this step, you’re ready to move on to step 2!

    Step 2

Next, draw the eyes and legs
We will add some more parts to your pigeon drawing in this second step. First, you can start by drawing a small circle for the pigeon’s eyes. You can then add a small dot to that circle for the pupil of the eye.

With the eye taken care of, we’ll then draw the pigeon’s legs, and they’ll have some feathers on top. This step will then be finished with some more curves for the rear leading to the tail.

    Step 3

Now draw the wings of the pigeon
Pigeons won’t get far without wings, so draw one in this step of our pigeon drawing tutorial.

The wings will be drawn with a long and slightly curved line inside the body contour.

Once you have the outline of the wing you can then make it look more realistic by adding some smaller curves over it for the feather details.

Now that’s all there is to do, so let’s continue adding some details and elements in the next few steps.

    Step 4

Next, draw some more feather details for the wings
In this dove drawing you will see you add some feather detail to the pigeon’s wings.

To do this, we’ll add more smaller curves that you added in the previous step, but they’ll have a slightly different shape than those.

That will complete the details for the wings and in the upcoming step we will add some final details and additional elements to finish off before you color your pigeon!

    Step 5

    Now, complete your pigeon drawing
It’s time to color your picture, but first, we have some final details to add to this step of our how to draw a pigeon tutorial.

First, start by perfecting the contour of the pigeon’s body by finishing the line at the bottom of the pigeon.

You can then draw another piece of tail feathers extending from the end of the tail. Once you’ve added that, you can finalize some final details before continuing.

The final details we have in this tutorial are some lines on the pigeon’s legs and feet for some texture details. That should wrap up the details in this tutorial, but you don’t have to stop there!

You can finish this step by adding some details and elements of your own, and there are tons of ideas you can work on.

Some ideas might be to draw some more pigeons or even draw yourself feeding the pigeons with breadcrumbs. These are just a few ideas you can implement, but what else can you think of to complete the drawing?

    Step 6

Complete your pigeon drawing with some colors
Pigeons are known to have easier color schemes, and that’s what we did in our example image.

Even if you choose these darker shades of gray and blue, there are ways you can incorporate lighter colors into your pigeon painting!

If you’ve painted any more details or elements, that can be a great way to bring in more color. Coloring in any background details you may have drawn will also work very well.

Alternatively, you can also create a more stylish look and use your favorite bright color for the dove! Then you can also have fun trying out different art mediums to bring color to life.

You can use vibrant colors like acrylic and crayons or keep it lighter with things like watercolors and crayons. What color and art medium do you think would work best with this dove drawing?
