Step 1
Draw three shapes to define the form of the body
We’ll start by drawing three shapes for the core of the dragon’s body. The first shape is a diagonal oval. From the oval, we will draw two additional shapes for the first part of the neck.
Step 2
Draw a shape for the head and a line for the wings
In this step, we will extend the shape of the dragon’s main body by adding a line similar to “half oval” for the lower body. We’ll also add some shapes for the arms and ovals for the head. Some lines are also drawn for the mouth and muzzle as well as the tips of the wings.
Step 3
Draw claws and other lines on the wings
Next, we’ll draw a few shapes for the dragon’s claws and one for the hind legs. Lines are also added for the “ribs” of the wings. We’ll also draw a few triangles for the ears. The bottom of the jaw is defined by a line, and a line is added for the tongue. We can also draw a shape visible to the eye.
Step 4
Finish the bottom of the wings, hind legs and additional wings
Lines are added to the bottom of the wings to complete the shape. A line is also drawn down the neck and through the body. The rest of the mouth is defined by an additional line and a second wing is drawn. To make the dragon appear on the ground, will add a cliff. The hind legs are also finished with a few other shapes.
Step 5
End of Dragon
We now have enough information to complete the drawing. All that’s left to do is add the details. We’ll add some texture to the skin to make it look “scaly”. A few lines are added to create a bit of a shadow.
The inside of the mouth is darkened and lines are added to the cliff to make it appear rocky. Don’t forget the tail! It is also added in this step. Remember, at each step of the drawing, you can customize your dragon any way you like.

Step 1
Start by drawing a small circle. This will form the dragonfly’s head. Below the circle, draw a small oval. This forms the thorax, or midsection, of the insect.
Step 2
Below the oval, draw a larger, elongated oval with a slightly pointed tip. This forms the belly or tail of the dragonfly.
Step 3
Draw wings. Extend a long and curved line from the top of the chest. Curve this line back until it meets the base of the thorax, completely enclosing the wing.
Step 4
Repeat this process on the opposite side to form the second wing. Again, using a long, curved line, join at both ends to the chest.
Step 5
Draw the lower wing. Again, you’ll extend a long, curved line from the chest, allowing it to fold in half to envelop the shape.
Step 6
Draw the last part of the dragonfly’s four wings. Extend a long, curved line from the chest and let it double in half to enclose the shape.
Step 7
Draw dragonfly eyes. To do so, draw two half circles in front of the head, using a short, curved line for each circle. Then draw the dragonfly’s front legs. For each front leg, extend a curved line from the junction of the head and chest. Notice the bend in the middle, forming a joint in the leg. Then, stretch a second curve roughly parallel to the first, allowing the lines to meet at the endpoints. Repeat on the double side.
Step 8
Add details to your dragonfly. Draw the veins on the wings using curved lines. For the upper wings, draw a long and curved line down the length of the wing. Then extend a few shorter curved lines from this line to the edge of the wing. For the lower wings, draw two curved lines down the length of each wing. Finally, texture the ribcage using short and curved lines.
Step 9
Indicates the division of the abdominal vertebrae by short, curved lines.

Step 1
Start by drawing the head of the fly. Use a series of curved lines to outline the shape of the head. Notice the nearly flat base of the head, and the two circular protrusions at the front of the head. For each eye, wrap a small oval in a larger oval.
Step 2
Use a curved line to enclose an oblong shape at the base of the head. Then use a second line to enclose another curved shape.
Step 3
Extend a curved line from each side of the fly’s neck. Allow the lines to meet at a sharp point, enclosing the fly’s chest or midsection.
Step 4
Use a curved line to enclose a curved shape, following the curvature of the pointed end of the ribcage. Then, use a long, curved line to enclose the round belly.
Step 5
Draw the wings of the fly. Extend a curved and long line from the chest. Double the line back to itself to attach to the belly.
Step 6
Draw the remaining wing. Start by extending the line from the chest. Again, double the line back to itself and connect it to the belly.
Step 7
Draw the fly’s front legs, erasing guide lines as necessary. Just below the neck, extend two curved lines. The lines should be roughly parallel and joined at the origin. Notice how the lines bend twice, creating segments in the legs. Allow the lines to meet at a sharp point. Texture the leg with short lines and repeat this process to create a mirror image on the opposite side.
Step 8
Draw two curved lines extending up from the front of the head, forming the whiskers. Structuring the fuselage and wings using curves of different lengths.
Step 9
Draw the hind legs of the fly. For each leg, extend a pair of curved lines from below the wings. Allow the seams to form a sharp point and repeat on the opposite side to create a mirror image.
Step 10
Color your fly. House flies are usually black, but flies also come in a variety of colors. For example, some are metallic green or blue.

Step 1:
Draw a large, medium and small circle overlapping each other (like a skinny snowman).
Step 2:
Starting at about the bottom half of the middle oval, draw a long, curved line that curves upwards on each side. Draw two more upward curved lines from the bottom oval.
Step 3:
Connect the ends of the top lines to the top circle to create the top wings. Connect the bottom lines to the bottom of the top wings (about a third of the way from the body).
Step 4:
Draw a curved line across the upper body, touching both top wings. Next, draw a larger curved line on that line, joining the two ends of the previous line, to create the head. On top, add a very small curve.
Step 5:
Draw two bowl shapes at the top to create the eyes. Then draw the belly by making two long lines from the bottom of the chest, connected by a curved line (it should look like a very long and slim U).
Step 6:
Draw curved, horizontal and vertical lines down the belly to create segments.
Step 7:
Draw the legs coming out from under the upper wing and the legs coming out from under the bottom wing.
Step 8:
You can stop following the instructions here and decorate the wings however you want (if you want them to be swirly or lifelike). To create more realistic wings, you will need to divide them into segments. Start with circular segments (as shown in the picture).
Step 9:
Make stripes in the shape of the wings.
Step 10:
In the end, you’ll fill the wings with smaller, roughly proportional segments.
Step 11:
Once you’ve finished drawing your dragonfly, you can color it with any color you like!

Step 1
In the first step, we outline the ready ring and the body of the dragon. We connect these two geometric shapes using two curved lines, creating a neck.
Step 2
Now with the help of extremely simple lines. Add a few more details and we’ve got the artifact
Step 3
Let’s sketch the details of the dragon’s head. First we outline the eyes, then the mouth.
Step 4
Now let’s outline the pupil inside the dragon’s eye. Next, we sketch the horns and ears of our mythical creature. Next, we outline the nostrils and sharp teeth.
Step 5
Probably the simplest step of the lesson on how to draw a dragon for kids. Here you just draw lines on the front of the body.
Step 6
Another extremely simple step of the lesson on how to draw a dragon. Here we will draw spikes on the back and neck. Next, we draw lines that form a cloud that cuts across the dragon’s body
Step 7
Now take an eraser and erase all unnecessary lines from the dragon drawing. If you follow our instructions exactly, then you will get such a dragon.
Step 8
Just one more step and we will draw our dragon. You can color it red or green, as shown in the image below. The eyes can also be painted red or yellow.
