    Step 1

    Start by drawing the dog’s eyes. Use curved lines to outline the rounded square shape of the eyes, similar to anime eyes.

    Shade a large circle within each circle to represent the pupil. Then, draw curved lines above the eyes to indicate the lashes and eyebrows. Note the tuft of hair on the inner side of the brow.

    Step 2

    Draw the puppy’s nose and mouth. Use curved lines to enclose the nose; Notice that it is slightly pointed on each side. Draw two small circles inside the nose to indicate the nostrils.

    Draw a wide “W” shaped line below the nose to form the mouth. Finally, draw curved lines on each side of the nose and at the corners of the mouth.

    Step 3

    Use a “U” shaped line around the tongue and create a curve in the middle. Cover the open mouth with curved lines on each side of the tongue. Draw a line below it. Then use overlapping curved lines to outline the ears and top of the head.

    Step 4

    Finish the ear with a curve that doubles back to itself, overlapping the existing ear. Then use another line to draw one side of the head. Create a close mirror image on the opposite side using curves.

    Step 5

    Draw curved lines that overlap each side of the head to create the neck. Draw a set of overlapping curved lines to form the shoulder.

    On one side, draw one more overlapping curved line to outline the chest and abdomen. Add a series of short curved lines in a “V” shape to texture the fur on the chest.

    Step 6

    Use long, curved lines to outline the lab legs. Notice how the lines overlap at the foot to form the toes.

    Step 7

    Complete the front leg, again noting the overlapping curves that create the toes of the foot. Then use overlapping curved lines to outline the crouched rear leg.

    Step 8

    Use curved lines to outline the dog’s back, hind legs, and remaining hind legs.

    Step 9

    Finish off the remaining back foundation using a series of overlapping curves. Then use long curved lines to draw the fluffy tail. Notice the jagged points at the end that indicate feathers.

    Step 1

    Start sketching your dog by drawing an oval. This will become the muzzle or muzzle of the cartoon dog. Draw another, smaller, oval inside it to form the nose. Draw a wide, round “W” shape below the nose to form the mouth.

    Step 2

    Use large and inverted “U” shaped lines to create points around the eyes. Use a curved line to enclose a curved shape at the top of each point. They represent the dog’s eyebrows.

    Step 3

    Draw a small oval inside a larger oval in each point. These are the dog’s eyes.

    Step 4

    Draw the dog’s ears, erasing the old lines if necessary. For the proximal ears, draw a straight line at the top and a large “U” shaped line for the sides and bottom of the ear. Decorate this ear with a point in the middle.

    Draw the remaining pins. Use pairs of lines or curves for each pair. At the bottom, let one leg bend to form the leg. Detail the toe with short lines.
