You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

In the first part of the magnolia drawing tutorial, we’ll start with the flower’s stem and first leaves.

You can draw the trunk with a thick, bumpy line that forms a sharp angle like the trunk in our reference image.

Then you can draw the first leaf that sticks out from the bottom of the flower. The leaf will have a rough rounded border with a pointed tip.

You can then draw some line details on the incoming edges and then draw a central vein for the leaf.

Finally for this step, draw two large, round petals above this leaf. The last thing to draw will then be two more cards on the right hand side.

    Step 2

You will draw the rest of the first flower in your magnolia painting in this next step. This will build on the petals you drew in the previous step.

This flower is made up of many layers of petals, so try to build on the individual petals you see in the reference image to create the first flower as a whole.

Once you have finished drawing the first flower, we can move on to the leaves that you drew in the last step.

Just add some contour details to the leaves, and then you’re ready to move on to step 3!

    Step 3

Continuing with this magnolia drawing tutorial, we will draw some more leaves on the stem.

These leaves will be longer and thinner than most of the other leaves you have drawn so far in this tutorial.

Other than those details, they will basically look the same! All of these leaves will connect to a central stem extending from the top of the flower head.

This body will not be too obvious, but it will be drawn with the same thick and rough line you used for the main body.

Finally, start drawing another stem that sticks out, but try to keep it short as we’ll be adding a flower to it soon.

    Step 4

Your painting of magnolias looks great! For this and the next step, we will add a few more flowers to the picture to complete the picture.

Now we will add a flower to the short stem that you drew in the previous step.

This flower will also have some leaves at the base and many layers of petals but will be smaller and thinner than the rest of the flowers.

Then it will be the final detail in the next step!

    Step 5

To complete the drawing in this magnolia drawing tutorial, we will finish it off by adding another flower to the stem.

This will get you ready to color your beautiful drawing in the final step! Now draw one more flower on the main body.

This flower will also look slightly different from the first flower you drew, as it is at a different angle from that flower.

This flower is as big as the first one, but it is rounder when we see it from the side. This also means we won’t get to see the interior of this one.

Once you’ve finished drawing this flower, feel free to add your own elements or background ideas to complete it and make it your own!

    Step 6

We mentioned in the introduction that this flower has a wonderfully delicate color. That’s what we’ve done in our example image for this magnolia drawing.

    Step 1.

Start by painting the foliage of the right half using Olive green.

    Step 2

Continue working with the foliage. Note that some white areas are retained on the paper. Paint from top to bottom and from right to left.

    Step 3

For the left shadow, add a little Hooker’s Green and Cadmium Orange to the previous mix.

    Step 4

Finish off the dark left side wet on wet, and with a few small punctuated strokes that suggest small shadows between the leaves.

    Step 5

Continue painting the trunk with Sepia

    Step 6

Paint the shade of the trunk with a mixture of Burnt sienna and Sepia

    Step 7

Paint the trunk and add some branches below the foliage.

    Step 8

Paint some branches between the leaves all over the tree. Finish the job by perfecting the form of the leaves on the left; then, add small green spots all over the top of the tree to represent areas of light and shadow.

    Step 1

Draw the edge of the tree.
The leaves on the top of the tree can be painted any way you want. But this method is simple and quite beautiful. Draw a large oval with wavy lines that looks like a cloud.

    Step 2

    Draw the leaves inside.
Inside the outlined treetop, draw an unfinished shape also with wavy lines to indicate the inner foliage.

    Step 3

    Draw a tree trunk.
Draw two vertical lines to indicate the trunk of the future tree. Draw some small lines to indicate the bark.

    Step 4

    Draw the grass below.
Draw small grass at the foot of the tree. You can mark it with sharp lines in the form of small triangles.

    Step 4

    Color in the picture.
Usually the plant has a brown stem and green foliage. Paint the trunk brown and green on top. You also need to paint the grass underneath in bright green.

    Step 5

Accomplished! All the steps have been taken and the drawing of the final tree has been done. Congratulations on your new paint masterpiece. Be sure to share your work with friends and family and add it to your drawing portfolio.

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1:

First, in this step we will draw a dotted plus with the help of scale so you can erase it later.

    Step 2

Thus, the tree whose trunk forms a line adjacent to step 1 forms the trunk of the tree as we know it at the bottom which is wider and narrower at the top.

    Step 3:

Now it’s time to draw a small branch projection on the opposite side of the trunk’s slide. Common body in the lower part.

    Step 4:

From the trunk draw 2 other branches going up in a direction wider than the projection and narrow at the end.

    Step 5:

Let us draw 2 more branches below the 2nd pair of branches she drew, which is a tree with many branches. Draw as shown in the figure, going roughly parallel to each other and following the same pattern.

    Step 6:

Perform small projections from every branch at random locations similar to the original tree.

    Step 7:

Draw a bumpy tree outline around all the branches drawn in the steps above. It doesn’t have to be round or any other perfect shape as we know plants grow randomly in any shape.

    Step 8:

Then add some details with clouds and earth to make it look more realistic and beautiful because trees are a part of nature.

How to Draw a Tree with Pencil Stepp by Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1 – Create a Basic Line Outline

To start drawing the tree, you can simply draw a few lines to indicate the general direction of the trunk and some of its larger branches.

Step 2 – Draw the trunk & large branches

Now draw the actual shapes of the trunk and larger branches of the tree.
In general, stems and branches thin out as they move towards the top, so keep this in mind when drawing. You also want to add some pretty sharp bumps and twists here and there to make the branches look more natural.

Step 3- Draw smaller branches nhánh

You will need to add a few small branches to make the tree look natural. If you’re doing a fairly small drawing like the one in this example, you can draw the smallest branches with just one line each which can make things a little quicker and easier. Also note that while they bend in slightly different directions overall, the small branches tend to “fan out” around the tree, so paint accordingly.

Step 4 – Finish the drawing by applying shadows

Finally, you can shade the tree to make it look a little more realistic.
For this example, we’ll apply some very basic shadows that make the tree a little darker on the right side to show that light is coming from the top left of the figure.
You can add a little gradient to the larger branches and trunk. For the smaller branches, just try and color them slightly lighter on the left side of the figure and darker on the right.
Once you’ve completed the shading, you should have a complete drawing of a tree.
