You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start your simple cute butterfly sketch by drawing a “C” shaped line. This will form the bottom part of the butterfly’s head.

    Step 2

Extend two curved lines below the head. Double the top of each line. This part will become the chest or the feathery middle of the butterfly.

    Step 3

Extend a curved line from each of the lines drawn in the front body. Fold them in half at the ends to form sharp points.

    Step 4

Draw a curved line, continuing one side of the chest of the simple cute butterfly.

    Step 5

Draw a curved line on the opposite side to completely enclose the ribcage, forming a gentle spot at the bottom.

    Step 6

Detail and complete the face and head of the simple cute butterfly. Draw two oval sections to form the eyes. Draw a thick curved line on each end and extend the line beyond the shape of the head.

This forms the eyelids and eyelashes. Draw a circle within a circle inside each eye and shade between them to represent the pupil. Then draw a curved line to connect the eyes, enclosing the circle of the butterfly’s head.

    Step 7

Draw long and curly beard. Extend two curved lines from the butterfly’s head. Straight lines, even though they don’t touch each other at the top, should suggest a heart shape. Draw an oval at the top of each antenna.

    Step 8

Next, sketch the butterfly’s magnificent wings. Use long, curved lines to trace the rounded triangular shapes of the upper wings.

Then use a series of curved lines to create the heart shapes of the wings underneath. Draw an oval on each wing tip and decorate the wings with curved and narrow triangles.

    Step 9

Complete your simple cute butterfly sketch by drawing the belly. From the chest, extend two curved lines and allow them to meet at a sharp point. Wrap some curved shapes to give structure to the belly.

    Step 10

Color your simple cute butterfly cartoon. Butterflies come in many different colors and patterns. Will it be orange and black like a monarch butterfly? Green and black like butterfly wings are birds? Or will you create your own unique design?

How to draw a cartoon Butterfly step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1:

    body
Start by drawing a long oval.

This will be the body of your butterfly.

You want to aim for a fairly elongated oval.

If you draw an oval that looks similar to a circle, you will end up with a very chubby butterfly.

    Step 2:

    head & beard
For the head, you want to draw a circle above your oval.

Try to make the radius of your circle equal or smaller than the small radius of the oval.

Meaning you don’t want your head to be wider than your body.

Then add two whiskers on top.

In fact, these beards are almost straight. But I always like to paint them with an extra curl at the end.

Doesn’t that make them much cuter?

    Step 3:

    wing border
The wings are the most distinctive feature of butterflies. And honestly, you can draw them however you want!

For this example, I drew 4 separate wings. Normally the upper wings are larger than the lower ones.

The butterfly I drew is quite easy because it resembles a rectangle.

The hard part is drawing both the left and right sides similarly. This may take a few tries. So let’s start with thin lines!

    Step 4:

    decorate your first wing
Okay, now comes the fun part: drawing the pattern on the wings.

In nature, butterfly patterns are usually made up of straight lines, circles, and dark edges.

So for my butterfly I make sure to use lots of circles.

But for your butterfly, you can use whatever you want.

    Step 5:

    Reflect your design
Now that you’ve completed your first wing, you’ve come to the hardest part.

You will have to do the same pattern on the opposite wing.

Depending on the complexity of your first wing, this can be pretty easy or extremely difficult.

You may want to use a ruler to come up with some guidelines to help show where things should go.

    Step 6:

    lower wing decoration
Now you can repeat the process for the lower wings.

The upper and lower wings do not have to be the same. But normally they look pretty similar.

That’s why I chose to use some more circles.

Now that you have finished drawing your butterfly, you can color it however you want.

    Step 1

First draw a circle. Then draw an oval below the circle. Then below the oval draw another oval, slightly longer than the first one.

    Step 2

Continue drawing a butterfly. In this step, draw three lines as guides for the wings. At first, use long and curved lines to draw the top edges of the wings. Using horizontal lines draw the middle edge of the wing. And use two short and curved lines to draw the bottom edges of the wings.

    Step 3

With wavy lines connecting the stream vanes. Use wavy lines connecting the lines of the wings. Draw the beard and move on to the next step.

    Step 4

In this step of the butterfly tutorial, we’ll start adding patterns. Draw large parts of the pattern at first, then small parts.

    Step 5

Using the same method, as in the previous step, draw patterns on the lower part of the wings.

    Step 6

    Step 1

The first tutorial will be for your butterfly. So here you will need to draw a plus sign that looks slightly curved.

    Step 2

Using the center guide lines, draw the butterfly’s head and body like that, as well as the antennas curving out at the ends. You can design your own antenna pattern if you like.

    Step 3

As with many of my butterflies, you can choose to change the pattern or style of the wings if you like, or you can follow this tutorial verbatim. No matter what you choose, you will have to draw the reverse side of the butterfly’s wings. The edges of the wings are ruffled, and the tips of the wings have a cute ruffle.

    Step 4

You will do the same thing on the right that you did on the left. Draw the wings in exactly the same way, and then move on to step five.

    Step 5

I don’t usually include a step on the things my butterflies land on, but this time I thought it would help. Draw the newly bloomed body of a flower that will bloom any day, or you can draw yourself a beautiful spring flower. Add details to the trunk, and now it’s time to draw your wing pattern.

    Step 6

Once you have corrected your mistakes and instructions, you can start coloring your spring butterfly. I hope you have as much fun as I did.

How to Draw a Rainbow cute and easy

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

First we draw two parallel arcs. Place these arcs in the center of the piece of paper or where you want to draw the rainbow if you’re drawing an entire landscape.

    Step 2

Add two more arcs to our drawing. All lines should be perfectly parallel as you can see in our sample. If you are unsure of your ability to work with baselines, it is recommended to use very light erasable strokes.

    Step 3

In fact, this drawing tutorial will be quite monotonous. We hope that you can overcome the boredom because you will get an excellent result in the end. Meanwhile, we draw two more parallel arcs.

    Step 4

We repeat the same action one last time. It’s a good practice to draw parallel lines, isn’t it? As a result, we will get eight stripes in the form of arcs. This is a good base for drawing rainbows.

    Step 5

A big rainbow in the sky doesn’t happen without rain. That’s why in this step we’re going to draw some clouds at the end of our rainbow.

    Step 6

Finally to make the rainbow picture come to life we draw cute cartoon faces for the clouds on the sides.

    Step 7

We don’t think it’s necessary to ask what color the rainbow should be painted. There is a lot to remember for this. For example here is Roy G. Biv (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet).
