Step 1
Start with a rounded shape for the top, notice that the shape is wider at the bottom.
Step 2
Add the body of the Lion, starting at the center of the face and drawing an ellipse that is about the same size as the body.
Step 3
Draw ears on either side of the top of his head.
Step 4
Continue drawing two more halves of the inside of his ear, one larger and one smaller.
Step 5
Draw the mane around his face and ears using curved lines.
Step 6
Draw his leg, start with the closer leg using two vertical lines and add an oval for his foot, for the other leg just draw a vertical line and connect it with a Ellipse.
Step 7
Draw his back leg in a curved line, starting at the back of his body, adding another line below it for his foot.
Step 8
Draw an ‘S’ shape from his tail, adding a circle and a ‘W’ shape for the hair at the end of his tail.
Step 9
Draw two circles for the Lion’s eyes and an oval for the nose.
Step 10
Draw a big smile for his mouth and connect it with a vertical line with his nose. Draw three beards on each side of the face.
Step 11
If you use a pencil, mark your instructions with a black marker and erase the pencil lines afterwards. You can also print this page and color it.
Step 12
Color your drawing of a lion, note that I added two more circles for his pupils and used two colors for his face from the nose down.
