Step 1
Sketch the contours of the head
First, draw a large circle, which looks like an asymmetrical, flattened oval. Place our future cat’s head right in the center of the paper.
Step 2
Outline the contours of the body
Draw a small body. It looks a bit like a heart sign. Pay attention to the characteristic feature of many cartoon styles – the character’s body is much smaller than the head.
Step 3
Draw Garfield’s eyes
Draw Garfield’s two round eyes. These are very large ovals that make up the main part of the head. Please note that these figures are placed as close as possible.

Draw Garfield’s Ears
Draw our cat’s ears. First, depict two small ovals and then add a few arcs as shown in our reference. The shape and position of Garfield’s ears are very different from those of a normal cat’s.

Use traditional colors to create a familiar and recognizable Garfield look or create a new look. The mouth and cheeks are lighter in color than the base color.
