Step 1

The ability to draw footwear from a variety of angles is important not only for shoe illustrations, but also for ensuring that the figure looks stable and movable.
When drawing the feet in perspective, it is important to keep an eye on the shortening that will always occur with body movement.
Step 2
Drawing shoes
When drawing the shoe from the back, observe the shortening taking place with these two main perspective points:
From the ground to the front of the shoe there is an upward angle indicating the thickness of the foot/shoe.
With a swivel foot, there is also a slight upward angle as the foot moves away from you.
Note that the heel is slightly lower than the instep line.
Step 3
BEFORE WIN ON WOMEN
When drawing a straight foot, notice that the inner ankle (tibia—F) is higher than the outside (fibula).
The narrowest part of the ankle is located just above the ankle bone.
When drawing the shoe, find the width, height, and depth of the instep.
It’s not necessary to detail all the toes—remember, you want people to look at the shoes, not the feet.
Also notice the soft curve of the top arch of the forward lifted foot. Keep your arch high, not focusing on the feet.
In the rear three-quarter view, watch the shoe’s upward direction as it moves away from you.
Also, make sure that the heel is centered on the instep and lower than the baseline of the instep.
Typically, the heel of the shoe curves below the heel to shift the weight of the foot onto the heel.
Observe the curvature of the heel section as it wraps around the heel.
Notice that you keep the side of the shoe flat with the ground as if you were not putting your foot on.
Note that the heel is placed slightly higher than the instep.
Also, make sure you don’t shorten your toes when doing the walk.
A neat angle from the arch to the toes will keep your shoe’s construction looking balanced and healthy.
