You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

The first thing that one might notice about Tweety Bird is that his head is significantly larger than his body.

We’ll start with his head sketch for the first step in our tutorial on how to draw Tweety Bird. First, you can use a big circle for the top of his head. It was so tall and round that it almost resembled a light bulb.

Then we’ll draw his chubby cheeks below this head. To do this, we’ll use two much smaller curves at the base of his head contour.

There will be a small gap between these two lines, as that is where his head will connect to his body.

    Step 2

Next, draw some facial details for Tweety Bird
Now that you’ve contoured his head, you’re ready to paint some facial details for your Tweety Bird drawing in this step. First, we’ll start with its small beak.

This shape will be drawn with two sharp shapes joined together and they will be angled in a way to make it look like he is smiling.

You can also draw a curved line on the right side of his mouth for extra cuteness!

Finally, we will draw some long and round shapes for his eyes with some large pupils inside them.

You can finish by drawing three curled lashes for each eye, then add three more curves on top for some hair.

    Step 3

    Start drawing Tweety’s body
Tweety’s body is disproportionately small compared to his head, but that just makes him cuter! We’ll start drawing his body in this step of the Tweety Bird tutorial.

First, draw two small curves from the bottom of his head for his short little neck. Then draw a curved line joining it for his shoulders, and another line on the other side for his chest.

Finally, add one more rounded line to his back, and then you can add his story using more curved lines that culminate in a pointed tip.

Now that’s all there is to do, so let’s move on!

    Step 4

Now draw his arms and start his legs
We have Tweety in a very cute pose in this tutorial and part of what makes it so cute is the way he clasps his hands in front of his face.

This is what we will draw for this step of your Tweety Bird drawing. To do this we will use some curved lines extending from near where you drew the bump for his shoulder.

Then we’ll draw his little fingers where his hands are interlaced. This part can be a bit trickier than you expect, so don’t be afraid to carefully copy the reference image as you draw!

We’ll end up with two small bumps on his body where his legs will stretch in the next step.

    Step 5

Add some final pins and details in this step
Now it’s time to finish drawing so you’re ready for the final step in this Tweety Bird tutorial. His head is really big compared to his body, and so are his legs.

They’re pretty simple to shape though, so they should be easy enough to draw! Simply draw some short legs and then use some big and round shapes for his two-toed feet.

After you’ve drawn the outline, you’re ready for step 6! Before continuing, you can also add some details of your own.

Maybe you can draw background settings for Tweety, or you can even draw Sylvester lurking in the background.

These are just a few ideas that you can work on, but what else could you think of to complete this drawing?

    Step 6

Finish your Tweety Bird drawing with some color
This final step of the Tweety Bird drawing will help you finish it off with some color. In our reference image, we chose classic colors for this character.

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

For the first step in the tutorial on how to draw a bird, the first thing you will need is a light pencil to draw a medium sized circle.
We are using a pencil for this step as it will be a guide for us to keep the shape and perspective nice.

If you have trouble drawing a perfect circle by hand, there are tools like drawing compass that can help you draw a perfect circle easily.

Once you have your guide circle, use a darker ink or pencil to draw a small, triangular beak on the left hand side. Then, using your guide circle, carefully draw on the top of the head as you can see in the reference image.

    Step 2

Draw at the beginning of the body
In this next step, we will draw the head of the bird’s body. For the bird’s chest, you can use three slightly curved lines extending down from the bottom of the beak to form the chest.

You can see what this would look like for your own bird drawing by referencing this helpful reference image.

Once you have drawn the ribcage, you can draw the bird’s back with another curved line.

    Step 3

Next, draw the tail of the bird
For step 3 we will draw a nice tail for your bird drawing! The tail will be made up of a combination of straight and curved lines that join together.

For this step, I strongly recommend looking closely at the image to see how all the lines look and connect.

    Step 4

Now draw the legs and beak
Your bird drawing is really starting to come together at this point, so now you’re going to add some little legs and the rest of the beak!

Let’s start with the beak first. To finish it off, simply draw a line down the middle of it, and then close it with a curved line.

Now, we will work on adding the legs. You can draw two lines close together to form one of the slim legs, and then repeat this for the other leg.

Finally, you can draw some curved toes and the back of the foot with some smaller lines.

    Step 5

Next you will add the eyes and body details
In step 5 of the how to draw a bird tutorial, we will add in the eyes and some feather details. For the eyes, you can use a few small circles within the other as they appear in the image.

If that doesn’t work for you, you can also use a solid black dot or a circle with a small dot inside.

Now you can draw some feather detail using a combination of many wavy lines and smaller straight lines.

Here’s another step where I’ll take a very close look at the reference image for guidance on your first try.

As long as you follow the instructions and take it slow, I know you will perfectly manage your bird drawing stage!

    Step 6

    More wing and tail detail
You are almost done with your bird drawing at this point! For step number 6, we’ll add some fine lines to the wings and tail.

For this step, you don’t really need to track the exact reference image and can add these lines in a way that works for you. These lines are intended to give a smooth look to these parts of the bird.

    Step 7

Now let’s draw the final details
You start this tutorial with one task: learn how to draw a bird. You are about to complete that mission with the next steps!

For this step you will be adding more lines to the chest and tail as you can see in the image. Finally, you can draw lots of small lines into the bird’s legs for a striking look.

    Step 8

    Finished with some color
With all drawings done, you’re almost done! However, there is only one final step and that is adding some nice color!
