Step 1:
Draw a curved line to represent the movement of the banner. Both the top and bottom will follow the same curve, so we can use this same process to draw any style banner.
Step 2:
Join the edges and start sketching each section, board by board.
Step 3:
Outline the portions of the banner behind the front panel, being careful not to draw inside the front panel (as these are behind the panel).
Step 4:
Draw the edges of the banner – these edges can be straight, pointed, curved, torn, rolled – whatever you like!
Step 5:
You can add additional accents in the banner, just like I did in this example. This can be a simple line, dot, scribble, etc.
Different edges or accents can be used to change the entire look of your banner. You can also change your banner style by creating straight edges instead of curves.
