You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

This will be a two-step lesson that includes three steps in each block. Start by drawing guidelines for the head, torso, and limbs. You will then begin the process of drawing Charlie’s face and head. Start with drawing his cup or bowl shaped hat, followed by his dark hair. Draw eyebrows, eyes, mustache, and small mouth. Next, outline his shoulders, arms, and side profile.

Step 2

Color the tie black, then draw the lining for the button-down vest. You will add the rest of the jacket shape like this, then draw and color in your pockets, belt, and arms. Adding detail at the hem of the sleeves are the cuffs. Draw his legs using baggy pants, then draw his clown shoes as well as his slim stick.

Step 3

Now for the first lesson. Shape his head, then draw his shoulders. Outline the facial guidelines before moving on to the next step.

Step 4

Sketch the very round shape of his face like that, then draw the hairline.

Step 5

You’ll use the facial guides to draw the eyes, then outline the shape of Charlie’s nose and add a thin line for his mouth.

Step 6

Next, complete the shape of his eyes, then draw the eyeballs. Draw and color black eyebrows, as well as a Hitler-style mustache. Outline nostrils, mouth and dimples.

Step 7

Now you will draw the hat, as well as the hair that flares out from the sides. Once that’s done, add some small details to add a touch.

Step 8

This is your final drawing step. Draw the shape of his neck, then outline the shirt collar, tie, shoulders, and jacket lapels located on the sides. Erase your mistakes like that, then you can see what Charlie looks like.

Step 9

This is Sir Charles Chaplin. Now he can be colored if you like or you can leave your drawing as a sketch.
