You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1:

Draw the head by creating a rounded cone, leaving the wide open. Also, make a small bump on the pointed edge of the shape for the mouth.

Step 2:

Next, draw a circle for the eye and fill it with black. The long-tailed shark’s eyes are slightly larger than those of other sharks.

Step 3:

For the mouth, draw a curved triangle. These sharks eat tuna, squid, and mackerel. Add gills by drawing four curved lines behind the eyes and mouth. Like all sharks, longtail sharks must constantly move to keep water from reaching their gills.

Step 4:

Draw the body by creating two long curved lines. Make them a little closer together at the end. The long-tailed shark can grow up to 16 feet long!

Step 5:

Draw the top fin by creating a rounded triangle. Next, add four fins on the body. The two front fins should be the largest of all the fins.

Step 6:

Add a long tail by creating two rounded triangles. Notice how much longer the tail is compared to other sharks.

Step 7:

Create patterns on the body by drawing a long, curved line through the body and tail, and another line between the mouth and eyes. Use gray and blue to color your Longtail Shark.
