You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1:

Draw an oval in the center of your drawing paper. It will be the body of the crab. Then sketch a zigzag pattern on top of the oval, as shown in the illustration. This shows the specifics of the crab’s sharp body. Draw two whiskers and small eyes on the top and sides of the crab’s body.

Step 2:

Draw crab claws. To draw the tip of the claw, start by sketching two parallel lines starting from the middle left part of the body and giving it an upward angle, continuing to draw it to the top. Refer to the illustration for details and draw an open pincer at the tip of the fork.

Step 3:

Repeat step number 2 to draw the right crab claw.

Step 4:

Draw the crab legs starting from the middle of the body. As shown in the figure, draw three horn-shaped structures. To make your crab more realistic, draw each leg in various imperfect shapes. Details and angle them in different directions. Legs don’t have pincers, so follow the illustration carefully.

Step 5:

Outline the right leg of the crab, follow step number 4 and draw the detail as shown in the picture.

Step 6:

Draw the bottom left leg starting from the bottom of the crab body. Make sure the legs are tilted inward.

Step 7:

As shown, draw the lower right leg of the crab following the previous step.

Step 8:

Refer to the illustration and sketch some lines and freckles on the body as shown. This gives the crab a realistic look.

Step 9:

Before you start coloring your crab, check the final figure and make changes if necessary. You can also try the pencil shading technique to add a bit of realism.

Step 10:

Color the crabs orange and brown, the claws black. You can also color the drawing paper blue to create an underwater creature effect.
