Step 1
Start by sketching the girl’s face and hair. Use long, curved lines to outline the chin and top of the hair. Then, use shorter lines of different lengths to outline the curls around and below the face. The lines should meet at sharp points. Then, use short, curved lines to draw the nose, mouth, part of the hair, and the texture of the hair.
Step 2
Sketch the girl’s neck and arms. Use seashell lines to draw the collar of the garment. Using line pairs for the arms, note the indentations near the elbows.
Step 3
Use long, curved lines to draw the girl’s dress. Note that the dress is tucked between her legs, requiring each to be individually painted.
Step 4
Draw the girl’s bent legs stretched out behind. First, stretch a long curved line and duplicate it back to itself. Then use a shorter curved line to enclose the other leg, partially hidden by the first line.
Step 5
Extend a short line and a very long curve from the girl’s shoulders to form the wings. Bend the long line and duplicate it back at the top. This forms the first feather. Use a shorter curved line to enclose the second feather.
Step 6
Starting near the base of the wing, draw a series of joined “U” shaped lines to represent the layers of feathers. Draw a few curved lines parallel to the top of the wing.
Step 7
Continue drawing “U” shaped feathers, filling the space inside the wing and completely enclosing its edges. Note that the flight feathers are larger than the wing feathers.
Step 8
Extend a long, curved line from the opposite side of the girl to form the other wing. Fold it in half at the top to form the first flying feather. Use “U” shaped lines to form additional feathers.
Step 9
Continue drawing “U” shaped feathers until the second wing is complete.
Finally, color the picture. You can choose the color according to your liking.
