This is the smartest dog I have ever met, the dog knows he is adopted so he is very excited. I adopted an adult shelter dog 11 years ago. I filled out an application and had to wait a week to bring her home. I go to see her every day at lunchtime. I bought her a necklace and one day while visiting her, I put it on to measure the size. When I took the necklace out of my purse, she was so excited. Once she was in a house and she realized the meaning of that necklace. I will never forget the excitement in her eyes when I saw that collar. She is sleeping at my feet right now.
While I am forever grateful that Benny was adopted, and some great Heroes stood up, my heart is always broken for those left behind, every adoption is wonderful and important. , but I can never stop thinking about the poor children left behind
