Step 1
Start by drawing a circle to outline the cartoon angel’s head.
Step 2
Below the circle, draw a curve to outline the chin.
Step 3
Draw a curve on each side of the head to cover the ears. In each ear, draw a series of short curves, linked together to create details inside the ear.
Step 4
Remove guides from the face.
Step 5
Draw two short and curves that protrude from the bottom of the face to form the neck. Hug the shape of the neck using a short, “S” shaped line.
Step 6
Under the neck, draw two long and curved lines to outline the shape of the body.
Step 7
Draw a scalloped wavy line around the collar to add more detail to the outfit. Connect the long curves at the bottom using a long and wavy line. Detail the creases of the dress by drawing some curves between the long and curvy lines.
Step 8
Draw sleeves by extending one curve from the collar and another from the body. Connect the lines using a wavy line.
Step 9
Draw the other sleeve by stretching a curve from the collar on the opposite side. Connect this line to the bottom of the dress using a curve.
Step 10
Draw a hand extending from a sleeve. Use narrow “U” shape lines to form fingers and curves to create details for the palms.
Step 11
Draw a hand extending from the other sleeve, again using narrow “U” lines to form the fingers.
Step 12
Details of the sleeves. Draw a wavy, scalloped line to form a cuff around each sleeve. Give the sleeves some depth by drawing a curve from the sleeve to the end of each sleeve.
Step 13
For the angel with bouncing hair Draw a long, curved line, starting with one sleeve, around the head and ending on the other sleeve. Draw some curves that stretch from head to shoulder. On the forehead, draw two curves that meet at a point on the top of the head.
Step 14
Remove the instruction lines from the beginning.
Step 15
Draw eyes. Draw a wide “U” shaped line to form the bottom of each eye and a thick curve to form the upper composition. Above the eye, use curved lines to wrap around a curved shape and form the eyebrows.
Step 16
Draw an oval in each eye area. Inside the oval, draw a smaller oval and a “W” shaped line at the bottom. The ball between the small oval and the line. Then, Draw a wide “U” shaped line to form a smiley mouth. Draw curves under the mouth to create chin dimples, and a short curve to form the nose.
Step 17
Draw the wings. Stretch a long and curled line from the angel’s hair on each side. Then stretch a series of shorter curves that overlap from the end of the long line. Repeat until the form of the wing is covered by overlapping lines, meeting hair or sleeves.
Step 18
Detail of the wings with additional feathers. Do so by drawing a number of connected “U”-shaped lines in each line.
