Step 1:
First, draw the head with a C-shaped line. The blue crane has a long thin beak that is perfect for digging through mud for roots and delicious insects.
Step 2:
Next, draw a line to open the beak and a small circle for the eyes. Draw a line from the top of one eye to the end of the other eye.
Step 3:
Then draw the neck by making a short curved line from the back of the head and a longer curve from the beak that is symmetrical with the other.
Step 4:
Draw the long body with two lines to create the shape of a soccer ball. To make the feathers, create a U-shaped cluster in the center of your bird and four short lines at the bottom of the body for more feathers.

Step 1
You must first create a sketch that will be used as a template for the vector version. If you own a tablet, feel free to create your illustrations on the computer. Personally, I like to start with a pencil and a piece of paper.
Step 2
Convert your drawing to a digital file and open your vector application. Create a new layer and add black outlines. Your lines can be irregular (pointed at both ends) for more interesting results.
Step 3
Create another layer behind the lines and draw solid colored shapes. You can be creative because parrots can be colored with many bright colors.
Step 4
Choose your gradient tool and add a simple drop shadow on all the shapes from your illustration. Only the eye (not the pupil) must remain 100% white.
Step 5
The shadows created with the gradient tool are nice, but that’s not enough to give the illustration depth. Create a third layer and place this layer between the shapes and the outline. Draw some dark shapes on the areas not affected by the light.
Step 6
Select the transparency tool and partially hide each shape created in the previous step. Since the light is mostly placed on the parrot’s head, the bottom of each figure should be darker.
Step 7
Create another layer (put it on top) and add white shapes on the areas directly exposed to the light source. I want to keep a small space between the edges of these shapes and the previously created black outlines.
Step 8
Use the transparency tool again, but this time you have to hide the bottom part of each shape. Good! The character looks great and as you can see, the illustration has more volume than the one in step 4.
Step 9
The last thing you can do is change the color of the border. You can use a tone similar to the color of each shape when touching the selected border. Your parrot drawing is done.

Start by drawing a bucket hat or fishing cap. Draw a curved line and extend the curves from each end. Connect them with a wavy line. Then draw the ventilation holes of the hat with small circles.

Next, draw the man’s face. Use curves that meet at the jagged points for the hair and additional curves to outline the smiling ears, forehead, nose, chin, neck, eyes, eyebrows, and mouth. Enclose a small oval in the eye to indicate the pupil.
Step 3
Outline the gum shape of the vest and torso with a curved line. Duplicate a line back to itself to form the arm and draw a partial oval at the shoulder. Use curved lines to enclose the rounded triangles and rectangles of the bag and its flap. Pocket detail with two lines and a glossy round button.
Step 4
Continue the arm with a pair of curved lines. Finally, draw the irregular shape of the hand. Use overlapping curves to complete the top and torso.
Step 5
Next, draw the fishing rod. Use a circular section for the crankshaft and curves for the crank handle, handle, and man’s hand. Then, stretch a pair of long curved lines that meet at a sharp point to form the bar.
Step 6
Draw short, thick, and curved lines extending from the rod to form the eyelets that hold the line. Then draw the line yourself, using curved lines between the eyes and a long straight line facing the water. At the end of the line, enclose the half circle and extend a line above it. This forms the bobber.
Step 7
Use overlapping curved lines to draw the man’s shorts and legs, with curved rectangles forming the cuffs. Then draw the pier. Surround a rectangle with straight lines. Indicates the edge has horizontal lines and the planks have diagonal and vertical lines.
Step 8
Extend a pair of straight lines down from the pier to form supports and surround them with a series of curves to represent waves on the water. Attached to the irregular shape of the man’s boots. Then draw curved lines to form ripples around the floating bobber.
Step 9
Complete the scene. Draw a horizontal line in the background to represent the horizon line. Above it, use curved lines to enclose the cotton clouds. Draw pairs of curves that meet at points to represent waves on the surface of a lake or ocean.

Step 1
Start by drawing a circle. This will form the head of the bird.
Step 2
Use curved lines to outline the bird’s body. Notice the long “U” shaped lines that form the tail and the overlapping curves that give the belly a feathery texture.
Step 3
Draw bird wings. Draw the shoulder of the wing using a “U” shaped line. Then, use long, curved “U” shaped lines to form the feathers of the wing tips, enclosing the shape of the wing.
Step 4
Erase part of the circle that forms the head, allowing it to flow naturally into the body.
Step 5
Draw a bunch of feathers on top of the head, erasing the paths if necessary. Extend short curved lines from inside the circle and allow them to meet at sharp points.
Step 6
Draw two large ovals to form the eyes. Draw a curved line above each eye to indicate the eyebrows.
Step 7
Erase the bottom part of each oval and surround the shape with a curved line. This shows round cheeks. Draw another, smaller oval in each eye. Then outline the curved, irregular triangles that form the top and bottom of the beak. Draw a curved line on the lower part of the beak, detailing the inside of the mouth. Then draw another curved line to form the tongue.
Step 8
Detail of the bird’s eyes. Draw two small ovals in each eye and fill it with one color to represent the pupil. Draw curved lines on the side of each eye to form the eyelashes.
Step 9
Draw bird’s feet. Use curved lines to enclose a shape like the letter “X” or “K”, connected to the body by an “arm” of the letter. Then add feather texture to the head and body using curves and hatching strokes.
Step 10
Color your bird. Young birds are usually yellow, as shown in our illustration. They can also be white, black, brown, gray or red, with patterns such as stripes or spots. As they grow up, the chicks will take on the colors of their parents.

Step 1:
Let’s draw an African buffalo! Start by tracing two long, pointed horns coiled together. Continue with the rectangular ears. Here’s a tip: make sure the corners aren’t sharp but curved. Finish with the face and remember that the lines are not perfectly straight!
Step 2:
Add two small circles for the eyes and two small dots for the nostrils. Then draw two scribbles around the nostrils to outline the muzzle.
Step 3:
Trace a line that goes across the back and curves down. Then draw a line from the front going down. There is body!
Step 4:
From there, draw the front leg first, making it short and skinny. Draw a line across the bottom of the leg for the foot.
Step 5:
Draw only the bottom of the remaining front leg, as it sticks out from behind the front leg. Don’t forget to draw that little line for the feet!
Step 6:
Now, draw a line across the bottom for the belly and end with the first hind leg. This one is skinny too!
Step 7:
Draw the remaining hind leg, next, just like you did with the others.
Step 8:
Finally the tail! Draw two curved lines up to create a short tail. Make sure the end is pointed! It’s your African buffalo!

Now all you have to do is draw the hind legs out like that, and then move on to the tenth step.
Step 10
Now you have to finish this spider’s legs like that, then draw little hairs on the legs, and then draw horizontal lines on its legs. Erase the principles and shapes you drew in step one.

Continue to trace the outline of the top Yorkie, using zigzag and dash lines.

Detail of the bunny’s face. Draw an inverted triangle with rounded corners to indicate the nose. Below it, enclose the mouth and the large incisors using several “U” shaped lines. Use long, curved lines to outline the hair around the cheeks and eyes. Draw a series of three consecutive smaller ovals that interlock to form each eye. Shade between the two smallest ovals, indicating the pupil. Finally, draw a teardrop shape above each eye to indicate the eyebrow.

Step 1
Start by drawing two circles. Then draw a smaller circle within each circle. These make up the wheels of the motorcycle.
Step 2
Draw another small circle inside each existing circle. These form the central shell of the motorcycle. Then, draw pairs of lines between the two inner circles, forming a pentagram. These are the spokes of the wheel.
Step 3
Draw another pair of lines extending from one of the hubcaps, erasing as necessary. Connect the lines with a curved line, then detail the part with a line parallel to its top face. This is the swingarm, the part of the rear suspension that holds the rear axle. Wrap a curved shape above the tire to form the rear fender and an irregular shape at the front of the wheel. Draw some lines across this section, representing the silencer.
Step 4
Paste a curved shape that covers part of the front tire, erasing as necessary. This is the front fender. Enclose a rounded triangle protruding from the fender. Draw another, smaller rounded triangle extending through the hook and connect them using two straight lines. This forms the fork tube or front suspension.
Step 5
Use a straight line and two curved lines to draw a curved triangle, connecting the front and rear wheels. This forms the bottom of the motorcycle body.
Step 6
Use curved lines to enclose the irregular shape of the motorcycle’s upper body. Note the “C” shaped dent near the front of the bike. Enclose a rounded triangle in the letter “C.” Extend a curved line from this shape and double it back to itself, forming the handlebars. Use a curved line to draw the remaining handlebars.
Step 7
Using curved lines to enclose three irregular shapes, complete the motorcycle body.
Step 8
Use curved lines to enclose three unusually stretched shapes, forming a subframe and a cap or saddle.
Step 9
Motorcycle details. Use curved lines to enclose the shape of the headlight and the shape along the body. Draw curved lines on the handlebars and lower body. Draw the clutch cover using nested ovals just above the silencer.

Step 1
Start outlining your jumping horse with a “J” shaped curve. This will form the long face of the jumping horse. Notice the slight bulges in the brackets of the “J” that indicate the horse’s nose. Enclose a curved triangle to form the eye and shade a rounded pupil inside it. Line the corners of the mouth, above the eyes, and below the eyes with short, curved lines.
Step 2
Next, use a long, curved line to line the pony’s lower lip and jawline. Below, draw a “Y” shaped line to form the neck. Line the jawline and under the eyes with curved lines.
Step 3
Extend pairs of curves from the top of the head to form the ears. Each set of lines must meet at sharp points. Line the inside of each ear with a curved line.
Step 4
Draw the mane of the horse. Use a series of short curves that meet at jagged points. Then draw a curved line over the jumping horse’s shoulder.
Step 5
Use a series of curved lines to outline the horse’s legs. The ropes must double in half to complete the bent leg. Draw a horizontal line under the foot to outline the horseshoe.
Step 6
Draw the second front leg, partially covered by the front leg. Use a long and curved line double itself to outline the leg. Draw a horizontal line at the bottom of the leg to indicate the foot. Then use a long curved line for the pony’s belly, and add two more lines to contour the front legs.
Step 7
Continue the curve and length of the back, and fold in half to embrace the extended rear leg. Draw a line across it to indicate the nail. This completes the basic jumping horse outline, but you have a few details to add.
Step 8
Draw the remaining hind leg. Again, extend a long, curved line and double it back on its own to form the leg. Tape the bottom of the leg with a curved line and use another to contour the hips.

Draw the flowing tail of the jumping horse. Use curves of different lengths. Allow them to meet at sharp points.

Step 1
Start by drawing your first flower. Draw a circle to form the center of the flower. Then enclose the circles around the center using “U” shaped lines. These are the petals of the flower.
Step 2
Draw a second flower. Draw a small circle for the center of the flower and use “U” shaped lines to enclose the petals.
Step 3
Draw the third flower. Draw a circle to form the center of the flower. Then enclose the petals using “U” shaped lines.
Step 4
Next, you will draw another flower – the tulip. From behind one of the first flowers, extend a pair of parallel lines to form the stem. At the end of the lines, draw a large “U” shaped line. This forms the lower part of the flower. Next, use a series of curved lines in the shape of a “W” to join the ends of the “U” around the flower. Repeat this process on the opposite side of the bouquet to draw another tulip.
Step 5
Using a “U” and a “W” shaped line, draw another tulip that peeks behind the other flowers.
Step 6
Next, outline the greenery or leaves of the bouquet. For each leaf, use two curved lines that meet at a point at the end. Leave the connecting leaves at the bottom, filling in the gaps between the flowers.
Step 7
Continue drawing more overlapping leaves until the shape of the bouquet is gone. Detail some of the leaves by drawing a vein, a curved line down the center of the leaf.
Step 8
Fill your bouquet with many smaller flowers. Draw two parallel lines for the stem and a circle for the center of the flower. Then extend a curved line to enclose the petals. Notice the wavy pattern at the end of each petal. Repeat until your bouquet is as full of flowers as you want.
Step 9
Draw the branches of the bouquet. Extend a pair of straight lines downward, leaning toward each other. Connect lines by enclosing a flat, irregular shape. This will form the ribbon tied around the bouquet. Extend another set of lines from the ribbon and connect these with a series of jagged, interconnected, curved lines.
Glue the teardrop shapes to form the bow of the ribbon, and the pairs of lines ending in a “V” shaped line to form the cut ends of the ribbon. Trunk and ribbon detail with curves

Step 1:
Let’s start your calendula drawing with a tree trunk. The trunk is one of its most important structures. Plants get nutrients from their stems. On your paper, draw a long curved line. Draw a second curved line along it. Sketch a calendula flower at the tip of the curved stem. Draw a central disc. The flower plate needs petals. We will outline two rows of hairy bracts around the flower plate. Drawing flowers is a fun activity for kids of all ages.
Step 2:
Add one more flower in step 2. Calendula has many flowers. Follow the previous procedure to draw chrysanthemums on the stem.
Step 3:
Now let’s sketch the calendula leaves. The tree looks incomplete and barren with no leaves. The leaves are lanceolate, 5–17 cm (2–7 in) long, hairy on both sides, and its edges all or sometimes scaly.
Step 4:
Finally, draw more leaves for the calendula flower on the stem. The 4th step involves outlining the leaves of the flowers at the bottom of the stem. Step 1
To draw a 3d butterfly
First start by drawing the head of the butterfly. First, draw an oval to form the large compound eye. Wrap another, larger oval partially covered by the first to form the head.
Use a curved line to enclose another oval section on the opposite side of the head, indicating the other eye. Then, stretch a series of short curved lines that meet at the jagged points to start outlining the chest or midsection of the butterfly.
Step 2
Continue to outline the oval ribcage using a series of curved lines that meet at jagged points. From the back of the chest, extend a long, curved line and fold it back on itself to form the belly.
Step 3
Next, draw the butterfly’s antennae. Extend two long curved lines from the top and draw a small oval at the end of each.
Draw the first butterfly leg using two narrowly spaced “L” shaped lines. Finally, tape the belly with curved lines.
Step 4
Draw more pins, delete as needed. Again, use two “L” shaped lines for each leg. Connect the lines with curves where they meet. From the top of each leg, extend a curved line and double it back onto itself to form the foot.
Step 5
Continue drawing the legs of the butterfly. Use “L” shaped lines for each leg, with curved lines at the top and to form the foot.
Step 6
Draw the last leg in the same way as before. Butterflies have a total of six legs. Then start sketching the delicate wing. Extend a long, curved line from the back of the head. Double it back to itself at the top and extend it outward to trace the wavy edge of the wing.
Step 7
Draw the remaining front wing. Extend a long, curved line from the back of the chest. Double it back to itself, note the wavy edge. Then use another curved line to enclose the rear wing.
Step 8
Add details to the wings. Use connected “U” shaped lines.
Step 9
Add even more detail to the wings. Draw a large teardrop shape near the edges. and finally create a shadow of the butterfly on the paper.

Color your butterfly. Create your own unique pattern or look for real butterflies and their color combinations.

Step 1
To get this tutorial on how to draw a phoenix we will start with the head of the phoenix. There will be a curve for the top of the head, and three pointed and flowing feathers on the back of the head.
You can then use a pointed, slightly bent triangle for the phoenix’s beak. The phoenix’s neck will also be quite long down from the head.
Step 2
Draw the first wings and chest of the phoenix
Your phoenix drawing will have considerably long and curved wings. The upper part of the left wing will be connected to the lower part of the neck.
The wings will then curve up, and you can use a series of sharp curves to form the feathers of the wing.
It will then curve back to the body in such a way that it will be thinnest at the base of the wing.
Once you’ve drawn the wings, you can also use another curved line for the phoenix’s chest.
Step 3
Add a second wing of the phoenix
You’ve already completed one wing in this phoenix tutorial, so you should have no problem adding a second one!
This wing will go to the right side of the phoenix, and it will have a very similar structure to the other wing, only duplicated. With both wings looking great, go ahead!
Step 4
Now draw a tail for your phoenix
One of the most recognizable features of the phoenix is its long, flowing tail. This wouldn’t be a complete tutorial without it, so we’ll add one to your phoenix drawing now.
The front of the tail will connect to the lower part of the chest, while the back of it will connect to the underside of the right arm.
Like the wings, this tail will have long, sharp feathers at the end that extend in different directions.
Then, once the tail contour is complete, you can use some of the lines inside the wings to create some more feather detail.
Step 5
Paint some details on your phoenix drawing
In this step of the phoenix tutorial, we’ll add some detail on and around the wings.
To do this, you can use several rows of sharp jagged lines along the inner edge of the wing. This will help provide some more fiery wing detail.
Once you’ve added those details, you can also draw some small sharp shapes around the tips of the wings. This is going to be part of a series of fascinating details that we will finalize in the last few steps.
Step 6
Wrap up some nice extra details in this step
Before we bring some bright and fiery colors to your phoenix drawing in the final step, we have a few final details to add.
To do this, simply draw some more sharp shapes like you drew in the previous step around the tips of the wings. You can also add some around the tail, as seen in the reference image.
This is a step where you can also get creative with these details if you want! You can add a lot of these shapes to create an even more fiery phoenix.
Before continuing, you can also add any additional details you want. Perhaps you could paint a flaming background or have a flaming trail behind the phoenix.

Step 1:
With your ruler, draw a line through the center of your canvas.
Step 2:
With your 2H pencil, sketch a pentagon. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but try to keep it proportionate. This pentagon will be the size of your rose, so make it as big as you want. Leave some space for the leaves on the sides.
Step 3:
Repeat the previous step by sketching a backward pentagon. Make it smaller, as shown in the diagram.
Step 4:
Pay special attention to this step. We will draw this smaller pentagon above the rest. Think of it like this, the outer petals are wider open and therefore closer to the ground, while the center remains closed in a cup-like shape. The pentagon we are drawing will be the top of that cup.
Step 5:
Following the above step, we will now draw the rest of the “cup” with an irregular “U” shape.
Step 6:
Add instructions for the center of the rose
Since this step will be a bit confusing to explain, I made sure to mark the shapes in the order you need to draw them. It’s all about pentagons from different angles. The angular difference decreases as the pentagons get smaller, but making sure they don’t point in the same direction is enough.
Step 7:
More leaves
Draw three leaves as shown below and make sure that at least two of them are facing each other.
Part 2.
How to draw and shade rose petals
And that’s it. We have instructions for our commission. So what now? How do we go from lines and shapes to rose petals and leaves?
Before we start drawing rose petals, it is important that we learn how rose petals work and how to shade them properly in every position and angle.
Step 8:
Rose leaf
Rose petals change as they grow. They go from round and small hexagons to rounder and larger pentagons. Rose petals grow in layers from the center of the rose, and even when the rose is open, it still has a cup-like shape filled with unopened petals.
As the petals begin to open, the apex usually curves outward, giving the rose its distinctive and seductive beauty. This is a simple fold for young petals, while for larger petals it is usually a narrow double fold in the middle. (Check diagram for more details)
Step 9:
Shading rose petals
Roses are not always red. Color and volume make the values change; What hasn’t changed, however, is how the light works with roses. Since we can’t have a light source inside the rose, the darkest part will always be the center.
In this case, the light is coming from above, so the darkest part of the rose gate will be the base which becomes darker as we get closer to the middle.
Step 10:
Start drawing the petals
Now that we know how to draw rose petals, we will start drawing our rose. Remember that the petals at the base are wider and flatter than those in the middle. Let’s start with the first petal and draw the rest on top of them.
Step 11:
Draw the second layer of petals
Do the same for the second layer, but smaller. Remember to use curved shapes and organic lines.
Step 12:
Draw the heart
Using the instructions in Part 2, draw the rest of the petals. Remember, these petals are shaped like a cup, and they only bend at the top.
Step 13:
More leaves
Rose leaves are pointed and have sharp, dented edges, so using your instructions as a base, add the leaves to the rose.
Step 14:
Cover the first layer of petals
Erase what’s shown in your tutorial and keep in mind the petal shading instructions in Part 2. With our 2B Pencil, we’ll shade each petal and keep the shading brighter on the outside of the flower. petal.
Step 15:
Shade the second layer of the petals
Do the same for the second layer. Build a few more layers of graphite in the crevices where the petals overlap.
Step 16:
Shading among the roses
With our 4B pencil we will color the middle of our rose. Remember that this is the darkest part, especially the base of the petals. Shade and blend between leaving the top of the petals free of graphite.
Step 17:
Add Contrast
Since the center of the rose is the part that determines the value of the flower, we will now add contrast to the base layers with our 4B pencil, especially for the near-mids. more attentive.
Step 18:
Identify lines
With the 4B pencil, we’re giving more definition to our rose petals. Make sure to pencil the tip very thin for this step and carefully outline the petals and leaves of the rose.
Step 19:
Shade for leaves
As for the leaves, we will first uniformly cover them with graphite. The green of the rose leaves is more valuable than the rose petals, so there won’t be any white highlights here.
Shade the first half, starting from the middle and right part of the base. Remember to add more layers of graphite towards our rose overlap.
Step 20:
Shade the other side of the leaf, doing the exact opposite of the other half, leaving the center and base and outlines shaded. Do the same for the other two leaves.

Step 21:
More details
Now that you have the basic shading, add contrast by building more layers of graphite over the shaded areas. Add ridges and make them noticeable by removing some of the graphite right next to the lines with your precision eraser.
