Step 1

Start by sketching Supergirl’s face. Use thick curved lines to contour the eyes, just being gentle at the corners. In each eye, draw successive smaller circles. The shade between the two is the smallest to indicate the pupil. Then use curved lines to draw a smiling nose and mouth.

Step 2

Use curved lines to outline the face, hair, and neck. Notice the bulge of the eyebrows and cheeks, and the point of the chin. Also note, sweeping the hairline and spiky curls. Use curved lines to form the eyebrows.

Step 3

Sketch of Supergirl’s hair. On one side of the head, use wavy curves. Otherwise, draw individual locks using pairs of curves that meet at sharp points.

Step 4

Start sketching Supergirl’s upper body. Draw a triangle at the shoulders, forming the top of the cape. Then use curved lines to draw the arms, hands, and sides. Bandage wrists and shoulders with curves.

Step 5

Draw the opposite side of the torso. Again, draw a rounded triangle to form the cape and use overlapping curved lines for the chest, belly, arms, and fists.

Step 6

Draw a pair of “V” shaped lines on the lower part of the body and connect them at each end. This is the top of the Supergirl skirt. Extend curves from each side and connect them with a series of overlapping curves. Fabric texture with curves running along its length.

Step 7

Use pairs of curves to outline Supergirl’s legs and feet. Draw a curved line on each foot to represent the top of the boot.

Step 8

Use long, curved lines to sketch the cape blowing in the wind. Then draw the Superman logo on Supergirl’s chest.

Step 9

Color your chibi Supergirl. She usually has blonde hair and wears a red, blue and yellow suit.
