You are so lucky. Read the instructions on the side of the ladder. You will be surprised at how many accidents can be avoided. We bolted to the slippery floor slabs to keep the ladder from slipping. Glad he’s okay.
As a side note, if your ladder moves like that, stay still. You can’t race gravity to the bottom of the ladder, and jumping will obviously get you injured. Just brace yourself and let it slide down the wall.
