You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Start by drawing a small circle. This will form the center of the flower.
Step 2
Draw a long curved line below the oval. This will become the stem of the flower. Then draw eight lines through the center of the flower and at different angles. All lines must intersect at the same point. These will help you place the chrysanthemum petals.
Step 3
Use curved lines to enclose the oblongs around the center of the flower, forming the petals. The shapes should be roughly ovoid, with gentle spots at each end. Allow each shape to overlap at the end of a small line.
Step 4
Draw more petals, creating fullness for the flower head. Draw an oblong shape between each existing elongated petal, so that they overlap the sides of the petals.
Step 5
Remove the overlapping lines from any other petals.
Step 6
Erase the guide lines from the center of the flower. Then, extend a straight line through the flower stalk. Then draw a shorter line at each end of the previous line, at a downward angle. Then draw an oval around each segment of the lines. These will form the leaves of the chrysanthemum.
Step 7
Remove unnecessary lines from the leaves of the flower.
Step 8
Add texture and detail to the center of the flower and the outer edges of the leaves. Use wavy lines.
Step 9
Erase unnecessary lines from the leaves and center of the flower.
Step 10
Texture the center of the flower with small shaded circles and a crescent moon. Then draw a long curved line parallel to the existing line of the trunk. It will meet the previous line at one point.
Step 11
Color your cartoon daisies. They usually have white petals with yellow centers, but can come in a variety of colors. For example, some are solid green!
