Step 1
Start by sketching the bull’s head. Use a series of curved lines to outline irregular shapes. Note the bulges of the muzzle, eye sockets, and horns.
Step 2
Draw the cow’s ears and nose, erasing as needed. For each ear, extend two curved lines from one side of the head and let them meet at one point. Then draw a similar spike inside each ear, again using two lines. Next, use a curved line to draw a peanut-shaped nose at the end of the muzzle.
Step 3
Remove horns, erase when necessary. For each horn, use two curves that meet at a point. Add dimension by drawing a short line around the base of the horn.
Step 4
Use long and curved lines to outline the cow’s back and torso. Extend one line from the top of the head, the other from the snout.
Step 5
Continue to outline the animal’s body using long, curved lines. Notice the overlapping lines of the lower back, hips, and knees. After the lines taper to form the legs, connect them at the bottom using a short, curved line. Mark the bottom of the foot with a curved line to distinguish it from the hoof. Separate the nail by painting a small triangle inside it.
Step 6
Draw front legs, erase as needed. Use a series of overlapping curved lines to outline the legs. Note the overlaps showing muscle in the shoulders and bulges in the knees and ankles. Connect the edges using a short curved line at the bottom. Then paint the nails. Enclose a trapezoid with rounded corners. Then separate the nail by drawing a triangular notch in the middle.
Step 7
Draw the distal pins. Use pairs of curves to outline both the front and rear legs. At the bottom of each leg, wrap the nail, making sure to have a triangular notch.
Step 8
Detail of the bull’s face. Seal two curved shapes on the tip of the muzzle to indicate the nostrils. Surround a similar shape to house the eye and draw a circle inside a circle inside it. Draw curved lines in the center of the forehead and down the center of the chest.
Step 9
Don’t forget the tail. Extend two long, curved, parallel lines from the bull’s body. Connect them at the end by drawing a tuft of fur, using curved lines that meet at jagged points.
Step 10
Color your cow. Oxen comes in a variety of colors, including red, white, brown, black, and gray. Many people were discovered.
