Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start by drawing a curved line to form the top of the head.

Step 2

Below the curve, draw a circle.

Step 3

Starting at the left side of the circle, draw a curved, wavy line. Allow the line to pass through the circle and connect on the opposite side.

Step 4

Remove the guide lines from the muzzle.

Step: 5

Draw a short, curved line at each end of the mouth to indicate a smile. Draw two small ovals in the center of the face for the nose. On each oval, draw a short, curved line.

Step: 6

Draw two curved lines at the top of the head.

Step: 7

Erase guides from within the curves.

Step: 8

Begin the body by drawing a long and curved line extending down from the head.

Step: 9

Draw another curved line, parallel to the first one.

Step: 10

Continue the lower curve to wrap around and above the upper curve.

Step: 11

Draw another curved line extending above the last line. The snake’s body will now appear to form an “S” shape.

Step: 12

Draw another curved line extending around and above the previous one.

Step: 13

Draw a curved line extending from the endpoint of each of the previous two lines. Allow these lines to meet at one point.

Step: 14

To draw the tongue, extend two parallel curved lines from the mouth down. Connect the lines using a short, curved line, forming a small fork.

Step: 15

Draw another long, curved line extending from the mouth to the midpoint of the body.

Step: 16

Add detail to the belly by drawing ten short, curved lines from the left side of the body to the center line.

Step: 17

Draw two circles above the muzzle. On each circle, draw a short, curved line.

Step: 18

Draw a smaller circle within each eye circle. In each small circle, draw a small oval on one side and two curved lines – meeting at a point at each end – on the other side. Shade the small circle, leaving the oval and curve unobscured.

Step: 19

Draw circles and ovals of various sizes according to the length of the body. In our illustration, we used 18 such shapes to detail the body.

Step: 20

Color your snake. Remember that snakes come in many colors, from brown and green to red, yellow and black.
