Step 1

Start drawing a dress with a simple trapezoid that tapers down. This will be the top of the garment that covers the torso.

Step 2

Now, describe another trapezoid, which is below the trapezoid from the first stage. This will be the bottom part of the cape.

Step 3

Now draw a neckline. We made it in the form of an arc. Next, draw short sleeves that cover the shoulders. Of course, you can change the look of the neckline and sleeves.

Step 4

Now let’s depict a belt on the dress. The depiction of a belt is rather narrow, but you can make it wider, or add a bow or any other element. Next, draw the bottom line of the dress.

Step 5

Now, using a large number of lines running from the bottom line to the waist, create the folds. The folds should not be at equal distances.

Step 6

Now, armed with an eraser, erase all the principles from the costume drawing. Next, create the bottom edge of the dress using a curling line.

Step 7

Grab an eraser again and erase any remaining principles from your costume drawing. Mark the artwork with a pencil or dark ink to make it more aesthetically pleasing and clean.

Step 8

Time to paint the outfit. We used pink, but you are free to use any other color to paint the dress. Now you can add some shadows or patterns on the outfit.
