Step 1

Start this step by drawing three shapes “head, chest, and belly. Then you’ll draw lines for the front and rear legs, then the antenna.

Step 2

You will now start outlining the thickness of the hind legs and then add contours to the hairs that create the chirping sound. Draw a line for the tail and then the front of the cricket face.

Step 3

A cricket has a total of six legs, but in this figure we only see five. Finish the lining for the cricket body and then draw and color in the eyeballs. You will outline the rest of the cricket’s legs and then you can move on to the next step.

Step 4

Draw out and thicken the antenna, then add details to the body and hind legs. Draw more of the body in the back and then finish drawing the tail of the cricket.

Step 5

This is your final drawing step and as you can see, you will outline some strokes and details. Complete the body lines and then start erasing all the guides and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 6

This is what your cricket will look like. Color him/her and you just finished this lesson on “how to draw cricket insects step by step”.
