Step 1
First, we’ll outline our soccer player’s athletic figure. You see a wide chest and a narrow pelvis. Right arm bent at elbow and left arm hanging freely. The legs are slightly apart. The growth of a football player is equal to the sum of the lengths of seven heads.
Step 2
So we connect the shapes from the first stage to get the contours of the body. Then we draw a small cylinder between the head and chest. We connect the resulting neck to the shoulder using two oblique lines. And we connected the chest and pelvis to get a muscular body with a narrow waist. At the end of the stage, add a pair of intersecting lines that divide our athlete’s face into four equal parts.
Step 3
Let’s draw the massive contours of the arms. Our soccer player’s arms look like two cylinders on each side connected using three circles.

Step 4
In this step we repeat the same with the lower part of the soccer player. That is, depict the upper and lower part of the leg in the form of a cylinder, and the knee joint in the form of a ball.
Step 5
So we continue drawing tutorial how to draw a football player. Let’s make the face shape more realistic. Add a few small corners to mark the contours of the cheeks and chin. With the help of short lines we represent basic facial features.
Step 6
We continue to work with the head of our invincible athlete. Draw the contours of the ears. The upper edge of the ear should match the eyebrows, and the lower edge of the ear should match the tip of the nose. We outline the hairstyle formed by two round shapes.
By the way, you can draw any hairstyle for the football player to your liking.
Step 7
In this step, we will draw the contours of the t-shirt. You can draw a T-shirt with a collar or long sleeves.
Step 8
Normally, the hands and fingers of any character are a rather difficult area to draw. In our case, all the fingers look shorter except for the thumb. That’s because our athletes clenched their fists. Don’t forget about the round ball.
Step 9
Let’s add some detail to our character’s lower body. We draw the contours of the shorts, and the lines indicate the location of the laces on the boots.
Step 10
So we created this step to work with subsections. If you have come up with some special design for the shape of your soccer player and ball, now is the time. You can add a collar to draw polo. You can also put the logo of a sports company on the ball or uniform.
Step 11
We always leave a step so you can remove all unnecessary lines and evaluate the whole picture. Look at the shapes, proportions and small details. Fix any errors and start working with colors.
Step 12
If you’ve drawn a specific soccer player from a particular club, you can now give it the look and feel you want. Draw football uniforms, symbols, logos and numbers. We decided on a neutral look.
