Step 1

Enclose a circular section using a series of long and short curved lines that meet at jagged points. This figure outlines the head and upper body of a pomeranian dog.

Step 2

Draw ears, erase as needed. For each ear, use two curved lines that meet at a gentle point. Detail the inside of each ear with a series of curves that form a furry zigzag pattern.

Step 3

Draw the puppy’s face. Draw the eye contour with circles. Create an irregular round shape for the nose. Use curved lines to outline the muzzle, mouth, chin, and cheeks.

Step 4

Sketch the dog’s body. Use a series of long and short curves. Note the jagged areas showing the tufts of hair.

Step 5

Draw the forelegs and legs using overlapping curved lines. Notice the blunt point at the ankle.

Step 6

Draw the remaining front leg, erasing as needed. Use overlapping curved lines to outline the legs, feet, and toes.

Step 7

Draw hind legs, erase as needed. Outline the leg using long, curved lines, noting the protrusion of the ankle. Round the toes using overlapping curves.

Step 8

Use overlapping curved lines to outline the remaining leg and hindquarters.

Step 9

Draw a fluffy tail, erasing as needed. Use long and short curves that meet at jagged points. Notice how the tail curls in a spiral above the dog’s back.

Step 10

Color your cartoon pomeranian. They can be highlighted in shades of white, cream, brown, orange, tan, red, or black.
