Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below
You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
For this robot drawing tutorial, it will be helpful to have a ruler handy, as there will be many lines in this drawing.
To start, simply draw a square that looks like a square on top of the rectangles with no lines dividing them.
Then draw two rectangles on each side of the head as they appear in the reference image.
Step 2
Next, draw your robot’s face
In this robot drawing step, we will design your robot’s face. For the mouth, simply draw a rounded rectangle, then draw a grid line inside it to form teeth that look like rows of lights or buttons.
Then draw a rectangle above this to enclose the eyes, you can draw this with some circles. You can also add some circles above the eye area for some extra detail to really complete this step.
Step 3
Now draw the body of your robot
We will draw the body of your painting in this third step of the robot drawing tutorial. First, draw a small, flat rectangle to form your robot’s neck.
Then you can draw a square for the body.
After you have contoured the body, you can draw some interesting details to it. You can do this by drawing a rectangle inside the body with some lines inside along with some circles.
These kinds of details will make your robot look like it’s covered with lights and buttons!
Step 4
Next, draw the first arm
Your robot drawing needs some limbs, so we’ll start drawing some limbs in this step. As you can see in the reference image, the arm will be created from various shapes.
For your robot drawing, you can also add or remove details to or from the arm to match the design you want.
Conversely, if you follow the instructions the arm will be made up of many straight, square lines with some sort of pincer shape for the hand.
Step 5
Now draw the other arm
In step 5 of the tutorial on how to draw a robot, we will copy what we did in the previous section.
You can also change its angle if you want to make it look like your robot is waving!
Step 6
Draw your robot’s first leg
You have several arms to draw your robot, so for this step add the first leg. We have a simple design for the legs made from a rectangle with a circle at the end for the legs.
You can draw some lines across the leg to make the leg look bent.
Step 7
Next, draw the other leg
You’ve finished drawing one leg, so you can now draw the other leg in this step of the robot tutorial. Just copy the design of the other leg so that the robot stands on its own two feet.
With all the limbs drawn, you can move on to the last step. Before you do, be sure to draw any final details that you think will fit in your robot drawing.
What interesting details do you think would be suitable for your robot?
You can really use your imagination and completely change the design of the legs if you want!
Perhaps this robot uses giant springs or hovering technology instead of legs. How do you think this robot would move if it existed in real life?
Step 8
Now finish your robot with some colors
You have successfully drawn your robot, so now you can have fun coloring it! This is the step where you can really let your imagination run wild with your color choices.
