How to Draw Airplane easy step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

For the first step of our how to draw an airplane tutorial, we’ll start with the top of the plane.

To do this, simply draw a curved vertical line that will form part of the nose, then draw a long, slightly curved horizontal line.

Finally, draw a strongly curved vertical line for the tail crest of your plane drawing.

Once the launch is complete, you’re ready for step 2!

Step 2

Next, draw the bottom of the plane
To create the lower belly for your plane drawing, you can mirror the lines that you created in the first step. The difference is that there will not be a large protruding fin like on the top of the tail.

Instead, just draw a small piece of fin from the side. It would also be helpful to look at the next step to see where the wing is going so you can leave some space for it.

Step 3

Now draw the first wing
We’ll be adding a wing in this third step of our how to draw an airplane tutorial. You’ll be glad you left some space for it in the previous step!

The wing will be made of a long curved line that slightly curves towards the tail of the aircraft. It might look a bit blank at the moment, but you’ll add some more details to it later in this tutorial.

Step 4

Draw the remaining wings and windows of the plane
You have one wing for your plane drawing, so for this step add another wing. This is on the other side and at a rather different angle, so it will have a different shape.

This one will have a more triangular, tortilla chip shape. After you have that, your plane needs windows so the pilot can see where they’re going!

To do this, simply draw a bent rectangle on the cockpit to create a window as shown in the reference image.

Step 5

Next, draw some motives
Planes won’t fly very far without engines to propel them, so we should add some engines to this step of our how to draw planes!

To draw one of these powerful engines, simply draw a long oval from the wing.

You can draw the details inside this circle, then use an inverted curved line to create the motor body.

There will be two engines on our right when looking at this picture and there will be a smaller engine on our left. When it looks like the one in the reference image, you’re ready to go!

Step 6

Paint some final details for your plane drawing
It’s almost time to start coloring your plane drawing, but before you start you can paint some final details. We have shown you a few details that you can draw.

For example, there are small windows running along the plane and a door behind the cockpit. I also drew some lines along the wings and tail to finish.

These are just a few details that you can add, but feel free to add any you like! If you have a favorite plane or airline, you can draw details that make your drawing look like that plane or airline.

What interesting details and extras do you think would be appropriate for your plane? Maybe you can draw a nice background for it!

Step 7

Complete your plane drawing with some color
Now that you have finished drawing your plane and have filled in the final details, you can have fun coloring your artwork in this final step of our how to draw airplanes tutorial. I!
