You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1.
Start by drawing a long and curved line. Notice that one side of the line drops further down than the other. This section outlines the shape of the orca’s back, tail, and head.
Step 2
Next, draw another long curved line continuing from the end of the first line. Loop the line around, following the basic outline of the first line. Close the space between two lines, but don’t join them. This figure outlines the whale’s face, belly, and tail. Then draw a shorter line near the top of the whale’s head, forming the mouth.
Step 3
Use a series of curved lines to outline the caudal fin. Use a curved line around the bottom of the fin like a brace or a brace – {. Use a narrow “U” shaped line and a few small lines to detail the underside of the tail.
Step 4
Draw a long, curved line from the base of the tail to the tip of the mouth.
Step 5
Outline the shape of the pectoral or lateral fins using a long, curved line. Notice the fin is shaped like an irregular triangle with rounded corners.
Step 6
Remove guide lines from fins.
Step 7
Use a long, curved line to enclose the dorsal or dorsal fin. Notice that this fin is also roughly shaped like an irregular triangle.
Step 8
Draw the pectoral fin on the far side of the Orca. Use two curved lines that meet at a point, enclosing an irregular triangle.
Step 9
Muzzle detail with a curved line. Draw a small dot to indicate the eye. Sketch in the eye socket – a false eye – using two curved lines to enclose a double teardrop shape.
Step 10
Color your sphere. Killer whales are black and white. The upper part is dark, providing camouflage from above, while the lower part is white, harmonizing with sunlight when viewed from below. The white eyes deceive both predators and prey, protecting the real eye from attack and giving the whale a fearsome appearance.
