You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Draw the bottom of the crown
Start by drawing the bottom part of the crown that will be shaped like a ring. Draw it as shown in the example and when adding its bottom edge facing forward, remember to leave a small gap at its edges. This will show that the ring has a certain thickness and is not just paper thin.
Step 2
Draw the front
Next draw spikes. At this stage, leave them with the tips open. Make the middle one the tallest and draw it straight up. Draw the spikes directly into its edges slightly curved away from it. Draw the next set of spikes that curve to the side more and also make them a bit thinner than the previous set.
Step 3
Draw spheres on the ends
Add small spheres/circles to the top of each branch. You can make the middle one the largest and then draw them a little smaller on the next set of spikes and even smaller on the one after that.
Step 4
Draw the back side
The form coming out between the spikes originally paints the ones at the back of the crown. Most of them will be hidden behind the front part but you should draw their visible parts thinner and smaller than the spikes in front. Draw the smaller spheres/circles at their ends as well as those on the back/center spikes being the smallest.
Step 5
Draw Gems & Complete Line Drawing
Finally add some jewels to the crown. In this case only three will be visible. One in the middle and two on the sides. In this case, they will be oval in shape.
When drawing the side faces, you can slightly erase the crown border where the gems are supposed to go.
Once you’ve finished painting the jewels, confirm that what you’ve got so far looks the way you want it to, and make any tweaks as you feel necessary. Then trace your lines with a black pen or marker. Alternatively, you can also simply darken them with a pencil.
Step 6
Coloring the Crown
To color the crown, make it yellow/brown to look like gold. Make the jewelry red (or any color you like). Colored pencils may be the easiest choice for this particular drawing but paint can be just as good.
Inside each orb at the top as well as each gem leaves a small white space for emphasis
