You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Begin sketching Neptune by drawing a large circle. This forms the basic shape of the planet. On one side, near the equator, enclose an irregular shape with curved lines. This is one of Neptune’s clouds of icy water, methane or ammonia.

Step 2

Use a series of long curved lines to draw a thin cloud surrounding the planet’s equator. Note that some lines meet at points.

Step 3

Complete equatorial cloud envelopment. Then enclose another pointy cloud at the edge of the planet.

Step 4

Use a series of curved lines to start drawing another cloud. Note that the lines meet at points at each end and that the top is not completely enclosed.

Step 5

From the opening at the top of the cloud, extend a curved line and double it, forming the arm of a possible storm. Enclose an irregular circle inside it.

Step 6

Use curved lines to enclose an elongated cloud in the planet’s northern hemisphere.

Step 7

Draw a long ā€œZā€ shaped line near Neptune’s north pole. In the southern hemisphere there are many small clouds surrounding it.

Step 8

Draw wavy lines cutting through the planet’s northern hemisphere, visible among the clouds. Then, wrap some smaller clouds near these lines.

Step 9

Draw long wavy lines and ā€œZā€ shaped lines between the clouds in the planet’s southern hemisphere.

Step 10

Your Neptune sketch is complete. Neptune is cold and looks a bit like a blue marble. Color your icy planet in shades of light blue to medium blue with white clouds.
