Step 1
Start by drawing basic shapes for the head and body. You will then draw guides for the face and limbs.
Step 2
Begin defining the shape of Rockruff’s head and face. The cheeks have a lot of fluff, so draw the hairstyle accordingly.
Step 3
We’re almost done painting Rockruff’s face and head. All you need to do next is draw the muzzle, mouth line and nose. You will also need to draw in the eyes.
Step 4
All you need to do in this step is draw Rockruff’s thick semi-soft ears. Add details to the top of the ear and you’re done.
Step 5
I love how Rockruff’s design has a thick fur collar that looks like spikes. Almost like a dog collar with spikes. Draw this whole part of Rockruff’s design.
Step 6
We are almost done everyone. All that’s left to do is draw the body. Do that by creating the front legs and feet, then the chest, abdomen, and back legs. Don’t forget to add the toes too.
Step 7
Before you tackle this final drawing step, clear out the errors and all instructions. Once that’s done, you can draw the thick, oversized tail.
Step 8
Color your Rockruff drawing before showing everyone the Pokemon you just drew.
