Step 1
Start sketching the Sagrada Familia by drawing a boomerang. Below it, expand pairs of curves. Let the lines diverge before converging at one point, forming a diamond shape at the end. These are the unique domes at the front of the building. Draw short curved lines connecting the vertices of the arch.
Step 2
Add details behind the arches of the animated structure. Use straight lines to outline the zigzag shape of the building base. Surrounded by arched windows and doors, there are lines. Draw vertical lines upward from each corner, creating a three-dimensional shape.
Step 3
Draw zigzag lines to enclose the inverted “V” shape above the arches. Connect it to the arch with short lines, then draw a small cross on top.
Step 4
Use “U” shaped lines to draw arches between the two “V” shaped structures of the building. Then extend pairs of curves upwards, allowing them to meet at sharp points. This forms the spire of the church. Draw a small circle at the top of each spire. Then draw some curves between the spiers in the middle.
Step 5
Shade the small squares and long vertical rectangles along the front of the spiers. The top strip of each spire is equal to two curved lines.
Step 6
Draw smaller structures extending from the sides of the main building. For each structure, surround a tall pentagonal front. Extend the overlapping lines from the top points, enclosing the roofs. Draw small rectangles on the front of the buildings and fill in small circles near the top of each roof.
Step 7
Draw more towering spiers on top of these structures. Extend the lines upwards to form two rows of pentagons. Tape a number with horizontal lines.
Step 8
Draw another layer of pointed structures. Decorate the front with “V” lines, teardrops, and circular cross-sections resembling pizza slices. Draw circles on top of some spiers.
Step 9
Complete your outline of the Sagrada Familia by drawing the landscape around the church. Use curves to trace the horizon, outlines of buildings in the distance, the path leading to the church, bushes in the foreground, and clouds in the sky.
