You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
You will start by drawing a hologram that resembles the tower of a castle. Place two slanted squares side by side, sharing a common side. Draw narrow rectangles above and below them, which also share the same side. For the top, use short, straight lines that connect to form a serrated edge. Each “teeth” of this edge should be shaped like a small square. This structure is the basis of the Statue of Liberty.
Step 2
Above the jagged edge, continue to draw narrow rectangular blocks that share a central edge. Note that every other layer is slightly thinner and longer than the layers on its sides.
Step 3
Add details to the base of the statue. On the large bottom, draw horizontal and vertical rectangles. On the top small rectangles, draw small squares.
Step 4
Start sketching Lady Liberty’s head and clothes. Draw a circle for the head, including a small irregularity to indicate the ears. Draw the neck using three curved lines. Then use a series of curved lines to form the sleeves.
Step 5
Use additional curves to outline the folds of the Statue of Liberty’s clothes.
Step 6
Use long, curved lines to attach the statue to the base, forming the bottom folds of the cape. Then sketch in the tablet using a narrow rectangle and straight lines.
Step 7
Use long curved lines to outline the extended arm and small ovals for curved fingers. Use curved lines to create the bottom part of the torch. Draw a curved rectangle for the top of the torch, with a horizontal line crossing it. Shade the top part, then outline the flame using short curved lines that meet at sharp points.
Step 8
Use curved lines to outline the hair, erasing guides as needed. Draw a curved line on the top of the hair to indicate the base of the crown. Then, use straight lines to form narrow triangles that decorate the crown.
Step 9
Lady Liberty’s face detail. Fill in circles for the eyes, and use curved lines to form the nose and mouth.
Step 10
Color the Statue of Liberty. This statue has a unique navy blue color due to the aged rust of the copper it is made of!
