Step 1
Start by drawing a circle. This forms the center of the sun.
Step 2
Draw several tall, narrow triangles on top of the circle. These triangles serve as the starting point of the sun’s rays. At this point, your drawing will resemble a head with spiky hair.
Step 3
Continue drawing tall, narrow triangles around the outside of the circle.
Step 4
Between the drawn triangles, draw smaller, shorter triangles. These triangles form additional rays.
Step 5
Continue drawing smaller triangles until you have completed the circle around the sun.
Step 6
Erase the guide lines from the sunbeams. You will now have a distinct, pointed pattern around the sun instead of individual triangles.
Step 7
Color your sun. Usually, the sun is colored in various shades of yellow. However, in nature, the sun can also be red or orange.
