Reigns’ return to action has been the highlight of WWE programming in recent months
Since her surprise return at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns has been one of the consistent highlights of all WWE shows. From his catchy commercials to a unique storyline involving his cousin, Jey Uso, Reigns is performing better than ever in his already impressive career.
Reigns was pushed aside at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a product of an enlarged spleen that made leukemia survivors unsafe to compete in an uncertain environment. As Reigns told CBS Sports, being forced to sit out in tough times for the company and their performers is a double-edged sword.

The Reigns comeback saw “The Big Dog” become “The Tribal Chief”, shifting from its longtime status as one of the company’s top faces to its leading heel role. . Reigns has paired up with supporter Paul Heyman and made it clear that he has been back into action regardless of how much he is perceived to have regained the global championship.
He then brutally attacked Uso and started a show with a focus on his “top of the table” position for their family. The character change has breathed new life into Reigns’ career.
“I definitely think a lot of the things we show are very realistic,” Reigns said of the idea. “A lot of people want to say, ‘Oh, he’s a heel.’ And, “Oh, he’s a newborn”, like this and that. I try not to look at it that way. I try to look at it because this is a character in a plot and he has the same choices as anyone else.
